  1. If the money all goes back to them why pay it in the first place?
  2. To third parties who don't have any input into grassroots and training of riders either, crazy situation when speedway at league and grassroots level is struggling.
  3. So perhaps selling the prime spot on the TeamGB racesuits to the highest bidder is pretty important to help cover riders' expenses? I know people say you should be proud to represent your country whatever BUT surely you shouldn't have to pay to represent your country in a professional sport??
  4. I'd really like to know who finances TeamGB, is it the FIM, IMG or the BSPA? Who gains the most out of the SWC, FIM, IMG or the BSPA?
  5. Oh that's great then, I knew he shouldn't have been able to keep it!!
  6. The Daily Mail own that old trophy, we oughta raise funds to buy that off them.
  7. A great venue for youngsters, well done Chris, Kevin and Mike ........... see King's Lynn and Ipswich as one in the end
  8. Isn't that what they are trying to do? Perhaps the GP boys will have to start asking BSI or the FIM for more finance to race in the GP series??
  9. The promoters will have to stick to their guns, they are looking after the clubs surely?
  10. They've told you why it's got to happen, it's the same in GB, unless you want to be paying equivalent to £15 to watch your meetings perhaps?
  11. Another win for Holder, fantastic, he's going for Adams' record eh, had to tough it out this time to take the title though, ouch!! Great to read about Kyle's expoits in the last meeting, bodes well for his year ahead here
  12. It's the nature of the commercial beast White Knight. Where's Bryn, he feels the same as you. I'm surprised that you were confused by what 'The White Knight' posted Mr Rising!!!
  13. Pretty sure either Chris or James has said before that Jack will be better than either of them ........... will be very interesting to see him turn out over here when the day comes!!
  14. He shouldn't have been able to keep it, as you say it was iconic, a historical treasure, was it falling apart so they let Mauger keep it or what?
  15. Aren't the NL promoters part of the BSPA?
  16. What teams took the Reading and IOW PL licences?
  17. Agreed, good opportunity to be able to support the youngsters as well
  18. I'm probably repeating myself but I'm hoping that if we do go up to the EL that we will also have the NL team to support when we don't have an EL meeting. The only reason I didn't support the young stars was because I couldn't jusify 2 meetings in one week. I am also hoping that IF we go up that we will be able to retain a few of our current riders in our EL team. Perhaps you should have included the word "some" before people in this part of your post Mimmo!!
  19. The Chapmans are in a position where they can take a punt at EL given a load of dosh because if next year they decide that they don't want to risk it they just forget speedway, the stadium can run on stock cars alone, no probs!
  20. I'm hoping that the promoters agree on a lower conversion rate and Coventry and Peterborough are in to make a 10 team league ........... if it's 100% that we're in. I won't deny that I am a wee bit excited about the riders we might be watching at Lynn next season..... I hope also that we keep the NL team so we can have a home meeting when there's no EL date!!
  21. Well they reckon Lynn wanna go EL whatever happens!!
