  4. Not cold enough I'm afraid, hope this cold weather will continue. The organisation of Stadskanaal told me they will run a meeting whenever the ice is thick enough to race .

  6. Well scrap that, Johnny is racing . He's got a other van, thanks to René Verhoef!
  7. Very, very bad news for The Netherlands in the Team Championship in Inzell this weekend.... Johnny Tuinstra has pulled out . He hit a wild pig during his trip to Sanok (Poland) and his van was quite damaged. At the moment he is still somewhere in Poland and he hope to be back home tonight. This means he has way to less time to get to get his bikes and van ready for Inzell. Any info yet on the European Championship..?
  8. Norwegian Ice Racing Challenge 21/03/2009 Swedish Riders are annouched: * Per-Anders Lindstrøm (SWE) * Peter Koij (SWE) * Peter Jansson (SWE) * Per Olov Serenius (SWE) * Johan Lundkvist (SWE) Lineup also includes: 2x Poland, 2x Germany, 1x The Netherlands, 1x UK, 1x CZ, 1x Finland, 1x Switzerland and 3 from Norway (I guess: Seatre, Skarpnord and Berglund). http://www.speedwayshop.no/iceracing/
  9. I think the Poles gave the seeded place back as they've just runned a run-off for the 6th place . RESULTS: 1. Junir Bazeev RUS 14 + (3 3 3 3 3) 29 2. Pavel Tsjajka RUS 12 + (2 3 3 3 3) 26 3. 10. Looks like Johnny Tuinstra will reach the GP's on his own "powers" Go Johnny!! .
  11. Good score from Johnny Tuinstra . Any info about the Polish nomination? Is it possible that the Polish Federation select Grzegorz Knapp (if he's fit) for the GP's? As he's quite the best Pole, might be able to score a few points, the others will realy struggle I guess .
  12. Looks like Franky Zorn pulled out the Sanok Cup http://live.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel1.htm
  13. Latest news from Sanok is that the Polish #1 crashed out (Grzegorz Knapp) and he lost his consciousness for a while and his bike rode over his hand. He's currently in hospital, dropped out the Sanok Cup tonight but he's willing to ride in the WC Quali! Johnny Tuinstra had a quite rough ride to Sanok, he hit a hog with his van .
  14. What I know is that Anton Smaga is 19 years old, he came with Sergej Kasakov from Ussurijsk to Germany in January for European meetings. He's also due to ride in the German Championship in Inzell. http://www.motorsport-aktuell.com/offroad/...-auf--7926.html

Including some video footage. ... EDIT ~ Results, Pics and Video Footage now online ... http://www.baansportfansite.nl/ .
  18. No, Henry van der Steen was racing in Wartena , but he was supposed to race in Saalfelden (as a reserve though).
  19. Well.. I'm back from Ice Racing in Wartena! What a great day, awesome. The organisation did an awesome job, nice little track (about 250 meters). Johnny Tuinstra was even racing there, awesome battles betweem him and Tjitte Bootsma. Small note.. loads of negative words about our "great" federation. Loads of Moto-x/Speedway riders where ready to rock, but they couldn't because they could risk a 2 year ban! And to make to story even "weirder".. Henry van der Steen was allowed to race on a Ice Racing bike, but not on a Speedway bike? . Anyway... roll on Stadskanaal next week... hope the weather stays like this .
  20. Two Dutch Speedway riders did some practice today on a lake near by Koosterkille (The Netherlands) for the Open Meeting in Wartena (The Netherlands) tomorrow... guess both haven't got a KNMV license then LOL. Pictures. Also received some great news that another club (MAC Stadskanaal) is running an ice-racing meeting, next Sunday (18 January) 14.00. Advert.
  21. Yep I'll be there. Will take alot of pictures and some video footage .
  22. Don't think any foreign riders will race in Wartena this Sunday.... the KNMV was complaining about the safety and decided that riders with a Dutch license are not allowed to take part. Also the KNMV "officials" (people with the flags on the infield) are not allowed to "flag" sunday, pretty childish eh? Riders in the "Ice-Racing" class: Tjitte Bootsma, Wiebe Vochteloo, Hielke de Graaf, Gerrit de Bruin, Gerrit Rook. No info about the "Moto-x" and the "Speedway" class yet.
  23. Another (!!) update to the Saalfelden lineup... Max Niedermaier is replacing Dimitri Tschatschin.
