Hi lads, Interesting news from the FIM Congress: - Long Track: heat format remains the same – 18 riders including two permanent wild-card riders for all the finals - Main change: point system in qualifying, semi-finals and final. - Titles: FIM Track Racing Sidecar World Championship 1000cc, Speedway 250cc Junior Gold Trophy (2010), Long Track 250cc Junior Gold Trophy (2010).- Technical: creation of a 250cc Speedway and Long Track Junior Gold Trophy for 2010. Age of riders: from 14 to 17 years – New measuring system for sound control - New homologated silencer for all Track Racing 500cc motorcycles. What's your opinion about it? I think it's a great step forward in the sport.. makes the step easier from a 80cc/125cc to a 500cc .
