Wild Cards For 09
Carcal replied to beesbarmyarmy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
4 weak riders in that next year with ulamek, Bjerre, Walasek and Zagar i feel. Why on earth has Zagar been given a wild card?? -
Good ride by Chris in the run off tho.

I think Saitfutinov should get a shot at the Grand Prix after todays performance. retained his title and is still only 18?

Swc Round 2 Coventry 14th July
Carcal replied to skid row's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No point blaming certain riders, they were all to "blame". They were all rubbishe, made to look like amateurs, Nicholls and Harris can't gate, Richardson pops out sometimes but when he doesn't he's nothing short of usless, and Stead and Allen were way out of their depth, whats saddening is that Stead has deteriorated majorly in the past few years. All in all, with a performance like that, we will certainly not see them riding next saturday and will more than like come last in the race off. -
Any other way of watching on net?

Danish Grand Prix
Carcal replied to Midland Robin's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You clearly don't get that he has had his turn.......numerous times i may add........so technically he's realised his dream and failed. Face it he has taken the place of a rider worthy of a place in the GP, and how ridiculous riding while injured! -
Bjerre Is Ready For Parken!
Carcal replied to Zetters's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Get your head out of his a**e mate. if he was good enough he would be in by now (Iversen for example). he has robbed Mads a place, it is so wrong it is unbelievable and makes a mokery of the wild card system as i see it because its the same one every bloody year! -
Danish Grand Prix
Carcal replied to Midland Robin's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
This is an absolute disgrace Mads has clearly performed well enough to earn a spot in the GP, Bjerre has had chances and hasn't even qualified for the series yet after numerous times of trying. And to rub salt in the wound Bjerre has a broken leg, poor Mads must be pig sick, i would be/am! -
No offence, i haven't watched the GP but the track must have been rubbishe, or the meeting as a whole for Rune Holta to win, what a joke! And don't expect that from Lindgren in your next match wolves fans
-
No worries, everyone makes mistakes.
-
Give the lad a break? Um my post suggests that he did well, and that he did what I expected him to do, which was to score solidly. I guess that is what Middlo thought he was capable of doing aswell. The only thing I am saying, along with many other people is that he was down on power, which isn't being hard on him, its stating the facts!
-
Sorry didn't explain myself very well With the positives i meant from Monday nights meeting where he rode with intelligence etc. I have no doubt that against the likes of Adams, Pedersen and co that he will be a huge let down due to the lack of power.
-
Eddie did a fine job last night, he did what was expected and in somewhat more! He rode tactically and was riding smart lines, however he did seem to lack speed compared to others. That is only a minor thing though which all the positives push aside. Anyways well done Ed

World Cup At Coventry
Carcal replied to Gemini's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well at Cardiff i stood up for both national anthems (Welsh and British/English), even though im Welsh I stood up for both. Yet there were people sat in fornt of me who made no effort to stand for the Welsh anthem but stood up for the English one. To me that just shows a lack of respect and common courtesy to be honest. -

Agree with Steve, it did look like the racing would not pick up at all with the ever receding racing line, but once it slickened off, the racing improved a lot really compared to what it started like. And also well done to the Russians, they put on one hell of a show!! -

Not much better than Vojens so far, and what the Danes had for track advantage there, the Brits have got at Cov with one line (around the boards). -
World Cup - Vojens Sat 14 July
Carcal replied to Mad Mitch's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Olsen really does need shooting. That had the makings of an excellent meeting, 3 of the best teams and they couldn't do anything due to that joke they call of a track. Something has to be done about these "big" international meetings. -
Not really, anywhere in Britain would do the same because they know they can make more money because people will stay!
-
To be fair, Britains own Lee Richardson isn't a darling either from what i saw, a couple of times doing a Hans esk move but not a sharply. Face it most if not all riders will do it to protect their line. This is all about because of no one liking Hans, sorry it is pathetic, what if he had done it to say a USA rider, would there be 14 pages of grief then, i don't think so!

Nicki Pedersen back to his old self and flying, what a final!!! Shovlar, how many times had Crump been in 1st or 2nd in a semi-final situation and packed up? I believe 1 of them was at that very track, ye? Tony is going to be consistant, Leigh was very unlucky. Richardson is not a force in the grand prixs and Nicholls will always fight to the end. Newcomers Zagar and Iversen - Zagar impressed, on home soil though time will tell to how he handles the other tracks. Iversen was on the pace i felt, ok wasn't a world beater but Andersen didn't exactly start his grand prix career with a bang did he? Give him time to learn and adapt himself to the pressure of a grand prix situation and im sure he will come good.

Should Nicki P Have Been Excluded

I noticed in one race that Lee Richardson also crossed the line, pretty obvious from his rear wheel turning white half way round a bend. -
? Wild Card - Denmark
Carcal replied to Hansfan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think Iversen will suprise many this year, unlike the gating tart KB and Zagar (only "world class" when there is dirt on the track) he has a mixture of both talents which he will use to great effect, ok he wont be a world beater but you know that you will see 100% effort. Hans Andersen had 3? years to proove himself and it didnt hapen, so it was time to move on. And personally i don't think Jason cares about your respect, he probably doesn't see why he needs to earn your respect and to be honest i don't see why he has to anyway? -
? Wild Card - Denmark
Carcal replied to Hansfan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The grand prix are individuals, if KB cant stand being cut up by another competetor, who was on his way to the title, why is he riding? If KB was in that situation he would do exactly the same, as would most of the field! When your on for a win you don't think about team mates etc. -
