According to two greyhound sites: Smallmead is 3,500 whereas Blunsdon (last years 1st round venue) only had a capacity for 2,000. Would love to know how they worked that out. I am sure between the Mexicans and the fairies alone there were more than 2,000 of us last year!!!

Its okay for us Brits - we will travel around on the day but I do feel sorry for our international friends booking flights and hotels. I know its a small Country but booking a hotel in Poole and flying into Coventry isnt much fun when the meeting ends up in Reading!!!

Dont think you'll find it's Coventry - not this late in the day. Mr Sandhu has too many TV contracts for the dogs and I doubt if he will break these at such a late stage. Maybe they are talking 2007!?

Flight times changed again. Outbound on the Thursday is now 12.30pm (Original time was 10.30am then it was moved to 6.35pm) Return time is still 10.05pm but I cant see Ryan Air leaving an aircraft on the ground for 5hours. Any one want to start a sweepstake on the final slot times!!!

Ozgal, I know you havent mentioned any name here and that is good of you. But what I will say about Rory Schlein is that after Rory's injury the Doc gave him the all clear to ride from a particular date. He was devestated at first when he thought he would miss the Aussie series and then also when the Doc bought the date forward he was very worried that he wouldnt get a registration in on time. From a British perspective Rory goes on and on about his Aussie racing, he certainly hasnt forgotten the dirt he's came from. I cant speak for other riders as I dont know them, but I am absolutely certain that Rory knows his roots

Good choice. Wouldnt recomend the Grand. It was a nice enough hotel but there was no bar for that last drink when you roll home. We got a travel pass from the airport that gave us train from airport to City Centre and then bus and river boats. it also got us into Tivoli Gardens which are a must. Kitten is the best person to give you the information as she is currently studying there. And if you really lucky she will meet up with you. Think she lived with us for 4 days last year. it was great

You know us too well! Thanks for the reminder. That's Nikki's department she will do that in the next day or two after her exams. When I spoke to ryan Air I asked how they refund the difference as it was cheaper. She said all she could do was cancel the whole trip, refund the whole amount and I could start my booking again on-line!! Not very happy BUT it was more a principle than anything else as they are so bloody minded - the refund should have been £1.60 - so I have kept this booking!!!!!

Changed to Thursday departure now. Still Monday return at present.

Not as simple as that Mr Smooth Talker! One option is to return on the Sunday evening but as we bought Monday tickets at £29 and the Sunday tickets are currently £159 I dont think thats an option!!!! Needs further looking at and as said above - its ages till September - how many more changes will there be before then?

You are really pulling at the heartstrings Kitten. I know you dont mean to but we want to be with you too. But money this year is tighter than normal so we are picking cheaper options and unfortunately Copenhagen doesnt fit that category. But think positively - when you come to Oxford think of the fun we will have EVERY WEEK. No - I dont mean going to Sandy Lane, although it does make me laugh frequently!!
