The promotion took a chance on having two big hitters in the side in the hope that other riders would step up to the mark which hasn't happened, IF we had not gone with the top two we have morris could maybe have been at 6 which imo would have made a big difference to the season overall, but hindsight is a great thing and where as the season has been disappointing I've still enjoyed it.

My argument exactly!!! unfortunately certain people on here talk out of their arses most of the time like I said previously on other threads they weren't whingeing when we were winning the league and KOC, yes we're having a bad season, and I'm sure they'll look at how the team is built abit differently next season.

We used to go to the Celtic manor resort hotel every year but prices got a bit silly, but yes we'll be taking advantage of the facilities. -

Just a thought but would they be doing all the work on the restaurant if there was maybe a problem with the sale of the stadium.

We have always stayed in Newport it's dead easy and pretty cheap getting train to Cardiff, we normally grab a bite to eat after speedway then get the train back. -
Unfortunately in some people's eyes on here the promotion are damned if they do and damned if they don't, they should be commended for acting quickly to sign Alfie up after an impressive showing on Sunday.

Lol where exactly have I said he's not a credit to the sport I along with alot of other fans enjoy watching him ride, all I'm saying is, is on this occasion he made no effort to get out on his bikes or anyone else's and as such cost your team the tie. I wish him the best of luck for the rest of the season and will be shouting him on louder than anyone else on Saturday for team gb. As for my ramblings I'm not the one trying to deflect the discussion away from the actual subject.

Bet ya feel better now do you lol of course Workington are perfect aren't they tracks like a billiard table every race there's passing and repassing never any hold ups. I'll leave it to other ppl to comment if I'm right as I've never been for years, by the way this is tongue in cheek just incase ur intelligence hasn't worked it out.
-
Any criticism of the track condition is probably justified, I'm not going to defend that with the usual excuses, suffice to say it was fixed and the racing was of a high standard afterwards, however certain ppl seem to think cook should be given aslong as he wants to fix his machine, from where I was standing his bike was ready his mechanic was doing final checks on his rear wheel and at the risk of repeating myself cook was still not ready to race even knowing he was under two minutes.
-
Firstly if it had been one of our riders and his bike was totaled his second bike would already be ready to ride or one of the other riders would have lent him their bike to ride. Tell you what here's a new rule ok: if your name is Craig Cook you can have aslong as u want to fix your bike ok, nevermind the crowd or other riders, aslong as he's happy then that's OK isn't it.
-
Actually yes it's that simple, at the beginning of the season referees were giving time guidelines to keep meetings moving, you say a few minutes more he had plenty of time, he showed no inclination to get on a bike, didn't have his helmet or gloves on at any time, how long would you have given him 5,10,15 or 30 minutes, the ref had to make a decision within the guidelines and he did for crying out loud he got excluded twice under the two minutes rule lol Thomas seemed to manage to get out so why couldn't your best rider that's wot u should be asking yourself.
-
Ermmm like I said I saw him warming a bike up whether it was Mr cooks I'm unsure it's not speculation I know what I and others witnessed jorgenson made the two minutes pretty comfortably, as has been stated cook's the British number one and captain, so should be able to just jump on another bike with just a quick back tyre change I'm not debating this with you, I'll leave to other ppl to discuss ok.
-
Wow talk about bad losers, if anyone wants a damn good laugh you should read the total rubbish on comets website about last night's match especially heat 15!!! I stand to be corrected here but I'm sure I saw matt Williamson warming up cooks second bike pretty much seconds after wot was a horrible looking crash which commonsense dictates would have left bikes in a very second hand condition.

Thoroughly enjoyed last night's match, good to see ludde getting back to his usual self, all the lads were totally committed to getting thru even Roberts injury seemed to galvanise them even more to get thru. If I was a comets fan I would be slightly annoyed at Mr cooks antics in heat 15 possibly cost u any chance,he didn't seem badly injured thankfully so no reason why he couldn't get on another bike and ride. Just as a side comment why can't some Newcastle fans just come on here and enjoy a cracking nights speedway, yes the track work was unfortunate but necessary. And let us enjoy the rest of the night.
