I can’t stand Godfrey, but in this case fair play to him for standing his ground on this one. All too often in British Speedway promotors have caved and bowed down to rider demands, which is one of the reasons we are in the state we are in as a whole.

You joke, but this has been proven to be the single biggest mistake made at the AGM this time around. There is still very big question marks around certain riders being able to travel in and out of the country, especially with Poland calling the shots. We are a month away from the start of the season and there are quite a few teams scrambling round to try and get a team of 7 riders together... and rumours of other teams joining them with the likes of Klindt, Bewley, Kurtz, Holder etc possibly being stuck abroad - especially given riders like Vissing and others have been ruled out in recent weeks. Let’s not forget that Swindon pulled out of the season too in the Premiership which has made some riders available who otherwise wouldn’t of been. Some people called for it at the time and in hindsight it certainly seems the way to have gone. 6 man teams with 1 ‘rising star’ Brit. This could of been reviewed again at the end of the season then once the travel arrangements would likely be resolved for next season in 2022.

Grudziadz have announced they will have what is effectively a home sparring match with Gdansk on Thursday, ahead of their first home match at the weekend. Gdansk will be without Kulakov and Jamrog who will be training elsewhere but they look set to explore options for their U24 role in their side. Therefore I’d expect Drew Kemp to be included in the side hopefully. This match takes place at 15:00 UK time

I think I’m with R&R on this one and keeping my money in my pocket for this one. If I was pushed for anything then Oskar Fajfer over 8 and Tomasz Gapinski under 9 I would say, but nothing massively standing out.
-
Decided to back out of the Lindgren/Doyle bet as they have now offered up favourable odds on Lindgren +2, where it would cover my original stake and this one. If Doyle comes home I would still make a few quid but decided to not risk out and take a big loss if it fails. Live to fight another day
-
That is going to be the biggest problem for you on the Leszno win tonight, that the juniors aren’t anywhere near the standard of Częstochowa. If Lidsey carries on as he’s started and Kolodziej doesn’t start well, could be a long night for Leszno! At least Doyle should then get 6 rides....
-
Haha great minds!
-
Doyle is currently 1/2 for over 9.5 in play too for anyone who is interested.
-
Looks like the odds on Leszno -4 have been shortened since earlier on today? No value on that anymore so makes sense to just back Leszno for the outright win on current values. I’m going to back Doyle over Lindgren I think.
-
Better than that I fancy Doyle -2 over Lindgren and the tie. Lindgren has looked indifferent at best at the start of this year, so could be value in that

Never in any doubt Other than head 14 ruining it for me, a fair old profit made on this meeting! I wasn’t too far away with my -16 handicap either
-
Gorzow -0.5 In heat 14 - looks good to me!
-
For the first time during the meeting, the cash out for Gorzow -10 is now in profit aswell. I quite fancy Gorzow from here though to see it through
-
Bet365 - you have to make sure you follow the “in play” menu though as the actual speedway betting page doesn’t show the in play odds
-
Just managed to sneak in Vaculik at 8/11 for over 12.5 before this race too
-
Wozniak can be different gravy when he wants to be, one of the most under rated Poles there is. He is usually dealt the difficult heats for Gorzow but has been right in the mix again tonight.
-
The tide is turning and still plenty of time to stretch the lead out with Zmarzlik and Vaculik in at least 3 of the final 5 races. I somehow managed to grab Wozniak at +4 over Hampel in play which after the last race should hopefully bring in a tidy sum
-
I had Gorzow down for a 16 point win, so I’ve also backed Gorzow at -10 pretty heavily and the handicap tie as that seems the best value to me. Lublin have strong juniors to level the tie abit but I fancy Gorzow to blow Lublin away towards the later part of the meeting.
-
Gdansk -16 Rybnik +16 on the handicap Looks really good value in Holta exactly and over 11 at 11/10 from 6 rides I would say
-
Always takes a brave decision to bet against the likes of Hampel, Kasprzak etc... you know they could run a distant last followed by a flier of a start and beat Zmarzlik! Rubbish odds for Wozniak too, especially as he’s paired with Thomsen and then Vaculik twice too. I know they weren’t fully uploaded to bet365, but interesting that they’ve now all been taken down?
