Peterborough were looking like the team to beat and really sorry to read that they have released Harris. I wonder who they will bring in to replace him that is cheaper than him on a similar average? Nicholls to Peterborough and Harris to Ipswich? Or is that two (heat leader) Brits on the sidelines when the season starts?

I think the same reason as Thorsell and Kurtz - riding at number 1 puts a lot of pressure on a rider and they just weren’t ready. Plus, he seemed to no longer like the Swindon track and that affected his confidence. I am still surprised that Rosco let him go on that bargain average and I am sure Wolves will benefit from signing him.

He hasn’t ridden here in years and was last at Peterborough if I remember correctly for a short stint. I’d be surprised if the loan fees covered his “purchase”. A bit like Poole investing in Magic who doesn’t want to ride here - what a poor deal that was - especially as Doyley is still riding here and a better rider than him this last few years. Would be good to see Nikki riding again in the UK - everyone loves a villain - but can’t see it ever happening again.

Sour grapes? Not a wheel has been turned so I don’t think it is as it may spectacularly backfire like Poole’s starting 7 last season. i don’t think it will backfire - but you never know until they are on the track!
