  1. THE Heathens 49 Hawks 41. Well at one time it looked like i was going to get egg on my face as Hawks were winning 35 - 26, and despite the scoreline The Heathens took 4 x 5-1s in the last five heats; Hackney rode very well aptly led by young Shane Hazeldon, who was backed up by Barrie Evans and Ben Morley, in fact had it not been for falls when well placed by Shane and Barrie twice when in scoring positions the Hawks would have come away with at least 1 point which they deserved, although it was balanced out somewhat with EF by Ash when 2nd. For the Heathens Armo had what i would describe as an off night, Tom and Ash were not there usual self, Richard plugged away, and Danny looked on the pace, Stars of the night were Kyle and Darryl, Kyle some would say did what was expected from him, but MOM was young Darryl who scored 11 points inc a fastest of the night win, this i think is a sign of things to come from young Darryl who is showing Style, potential and may i say a maturity beyond his years, well done to ALL the riders and Thanks to The Hawks for putting up an excellent showing.
  2. Yes,i agree with ur comments 21st with regards Daryll, however Shane Hazeldene has been banging in the points for the Hawks, so tonight wont be easy either.
  3. Nice to see a Heathens V Hawks on the fixture list again, its debatable which Team is nearer getting there own track back again, however i can only see a big points win for the Heathens mostly due to there superior all round strength.
  4. Lets not forget Edinburgh riding in Armadale for how many years ??.
  5. I think Jordan Tyrer was looking for a team spot earlier this year.
  6. Whilst i predicted we wouldnt get Ommered at Lakeside, Travelling up to Scunny is a completely different kettle of fish, YES the Track probably is less of a Homers circuit, but The Team against The Heathens is an altogether different proposition, It will need ALL our Heatleaders Armo, Kyle and Ash to be on TOP form, It will need Fred to find last seasons sparkle, For Richie to pop in that win in a vital heat 8, and for Daryll to show the determination, speed and improvement we see see each week, and last but not least for Danny to notch a couple of points, even then we may only just scrape an away point, good luck guys and stay safe.

Danny Stoneman - 0, 0, 0 = 0 Read more: http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=hack&action=display&thread=8158#ixzz1NalP2bdZ Thats a cracking win for The Heathens. I think away wins will be few and far between in the NL this year, so this was unexpected by many except me, and a few others i dont mind blowing my own trumpet, just as i did at Buxton last season Well done guys more of the same on Monday at Scunny .
  8. Still hard to predict, League winners, but it goes without saying Scunny/Sheff, Stoke, The Heathens, and BV Colts for the play offs possible dark horses IOW who had a had a good home win against a Kyle less Colts, Seems the key to all of this is having a strong reserve, such as Richie and Stefan at SS and Jason at the Colts, but for me SS having 2 very capable reserves gives them an edge, i fancy Scunthorpe/Sheffield for the Title.
  9. Right guys thanks for the travel info, I am coming up from Poole, never been to lakeside before, which junct do i leave at, and which is best clockwise or anti clockwise ??.
  10. One thing is for sure, watch out Heathens you’ll be going home pointless next Friday and our rivalry will back on track the following Tuesday at Wolverhampton! Just remember Heathens fans back in 1987 the Hackney Kestrels Andy Galvin & Alan Mogridge got a 5-1 relegating a certain Eric Gundersen to third place, no one saw that one coming, happy days. hahah, love your enthusiasm paul, but eric was feeling sorry for you guys in that race. We both have the same aims which are for Hackney and Heathens to get there own Track, and people who have not gone through losing there Team dont realise what it means to see the name again, good luck with that Paul, and thanks for the Travel info, once i hit the M25 i plan to go clockwise, roughly how long should i allow from when i get to the M25 ??.
  11. Yes Jason is often criticised, and given stick by Heathens fans, but you ask them would they rather have him riding for or against them, and i know which answer 95% of them would give you. Jason and Ashleys rides against each other go back to there Junior days,I have seen them talking and laughing together before and after races, but that competitivness that they BOTH have will continue throughout there careers, right up till they reach the EL, which they BOTH have the ability to do, but i believe there is a mutual respect for each others ability and that they both enjoy these races against each other, yes i know riders like to WIN races from the gate, but most of them are also RACERS, but it sure does get adrenalin flowing when you have a hard fought, but fair race where no quarter is asked nor given. Yes races like this should be used as promotional material, but hey we are talking BSPA now, maybe someone should tell them we do have a NL, and it can and does provide excellent racing from time to time.
  12. Vog not sure of the geography these days, but are not Stoke only the 2nd best Team in Staffordshire .
  13. Haha, Paul one of us is going to get Ommered and it aint us.. seriously tho,i hope to get up from Poole, depends on Bank Holiday Traffic, but this will be a close meeting, and i will be dissapointed if we dont take ALL the points.
  14. Thanks for this data Alan excellent work, I just feel so sorry for Mark Baseby, I cant believe he cannot get a team spot, he is at the moment a better rider than his young brother Aaron, who is averaging 7+, Marks average is i believe 8 ish, but he would i believe average around 9 per meeting so would not be a gamble by any stretch of the imagination, his average in the 1 challenge he rode in for Birmingham Bulls shows as 9.00, but that was against Dudley Heathens who are a very strong NL Team so to do that was NO mean feat, good luck Mark.
  15. Hahah, how did you know 21st ?? anyways mate thanks for the updates superb effort, thats what updates are for, not everyone can get to meetings, so i got my laptop out in my break time, and checked how we were doing, good effort from the guys, all to play for up in Manchester, hopefully i will be there this time.
  16. Are we having updates ??, I am working down in Poole, so 21st will youdo us a favour . Yes this will be a tight meeting, Kyle Howarth and Jason G "The Wicked Witch" i expect both of them to score high double figures with jason probably taking 7 rides, Byron will give them sound back up, so if McKinna, chips in with a solid score we could be in trouble, if any of those four have an off night then i expect Dudley to win by 10, we have a better all round team than the Colts, Good luck to the Heathens, especially our new signings Kyle and Danny. Hey Bob if you find someone who can get from Poole to Monmore Wood in 90 minutes let me know.
  17. There are obviously problems getting Camerons paperwork sorted out, and as someone else pointed out, if Cameron has partality then he shouldnt need a visa, I think Mildenhall obviously jumped the gun when announcing the signing of the Boy, which i guess was easy to do with all the lateness of them getting accepted into the NL and all of that.
  18. You did an excellent job, many thanks.
  19. Jason Garrity is the new Kenny Carter for Heathens fans or as 21st says "Panto villan" he is a hard rider, very often takes no prisoners, exhuberant, and the worst criticism i can level against him is he is often impatient, but Jason i would have in The Heathens team Anyday, he has loads of natural ability, and as i have stated before reminds me very much of a young KC, once he learns to curb that impatience, and realises he actually has 4 whole laps to pass riders, then he will become one heck of a rider.
  20. Jeez now i know you are on something Cookie, I cant even get a packet of Ciggys for a fiver, entrance to Night Clubs is more than a fiver, did you know a gallon of petrol is more than 7 quid ?, and here you are saying £5 for NL racing, the only way i would agree with that is if Teams such as Kings Lynn,Scunthorpe,Rye said £5 if you have a season ticket for EL or PL racing, but £5 admission it is 2011.
  21. Cookie, seems like im alright jack is speaking there, what the heck i dont see Wayne Rooney playing for three teams in the same country, whoops my local Parks team needs another player, I will suggest they sign Wayne.
  22. I Have been a Heathens fan for nearly 50 years now and like you Deanno i find it uncomfortable, that some riders ride for 2/3 teams, whilst others cannot find 1 team who will give them a Team spot, something is wrong and urgently needs putting right, the sooner the better. I understand the need for The Heathens to be reasonably succesful, but i feel on this occasion The decision has been the wrong one.
  23. So following the announcement of the signing of Kyle Newman, who goes ? and who comes in to replace the rider who is unfortunate to lose his place, the guy who is going wont be Darryl Ritchings as if he went the Heathens would i believe still be above the points limit, so the goings and comings continue.
  24. And that i think is from someone whos son has dual nationality.
  25. This is a smart move by the Heathens management, but it will prove to be a little controversial i feel, even in my own mind as a Die hard Heathens fan i am not 100% happy with it for the following reasons. 1. I dont like to see other riders released just b,cuz of the numbers game,2. It doesnt rest easy with me to see some riders with 2/3 Teams while other riders have no Team to ride for, Young English guys on the Scrapheap at what 22/23 nope, i feel uncomfortable about it, Plus points yes it will strengthen our Top end, but will it strengthen our tail end ?? because it seems to me we will need to bring in a new 3 pointer, and as other Teams have found out, there are not many of the NL standard around. But welcome on board Kyle, i look forward to seeing you in a Heathens race jacket, and good luck for the future to whoever is released.
