  1. There'll have been a lot of non-finishers in his races.
  2. There was an abundance of riders that fitted the bill and weren't as much of a gamble as Karger when Klindt left though. Branford for Karger is the least we can do right now, he'd average almost double what Karger is too without a doubt, if not more.
  3. Embarrassing that the geezer has been signed really, not exact a British prosoect is he?
  4. Surely though as the Cradley team was legal there's no protest to be made and the abandonment is just sour grapes on the part of Mildenhall? Expect the BSPA to come down on them like a ton of bricks and unfortunately it sounds like it'd be deserved too.
  5. Trouble is, if people carry on paying weekly for a poor product then promotors will think nothing is wrong with the product. Good faith only stretches so far.
  6. Tai Wofinden was never a great gater when he was at Rye. Plenty of time for Lambert to improve his starts, wouldn't be surprised to see him in the GPs in the next few years.
  7. I'd happily take Bowtell back but he wouldn't fit now.
  8. It was a good meeting no doubt but the standard of our riders on the whole has to be a concern, ten years back or so even there were the likes of Nicholls, Loram, Screen, Havelock, Norris, Richardson and Louis etc. who were EL heat leaders or thereabouts, and people were saying our standard of rider was on the decline then.
  9. Why would they when it's front and centre for the entirety of the interview? People like things that you don't like, you like things that other people don't like too I'm sure. Life's too short to waste time complaining about such trivial matters.
  10. No it isnt, it's what sportspeople do to make sure their sponsors keep coming back to them, why do you think riders put their caps on the second their crash helmets come off? It's not to keep their head warm or because their hair's a mess, it's because they're covered in sponsorship. They all do it, singling out Hancock is just sour grapes.
  11. Your full stop shouldn't have a space before it.
  12. Imagine a bloke promoting the product that he is paid to promote... Madness.
  13. Why would you hold off signing a rider who could help you win the league this year to try win the league next year instead... I could understand if it was first place wins the title but Eastbourne are likely to reach the play-offs where all four teams start equal again regardless of who finishes top of the table.
  14. Meeting starts at 5.30-6pm, finishes prior to the football kick off and the Rye bar makes a killing from showing the game. Although having a pub a stones throw away may be the reason for this not being done in fairness.
  15. Peter Karger beat Sam Masters a few weeks back, he'll still struggle to average over two points a meeting.
  16. Birmingham gifted Eastbourne a point by using a guest for Bacon and R/R for Perry, would expect someone like Drury to have more sense than that.
  17. But they want to sign Mitchell Davey...
  18. Social media interaction is good, however it should be consistent across both popular platforms (Facebook and Twitter). Personally I very rarely check Facebook for anything other than the Rye speedway group these days. Both these bases should be covered but regular updates on the website are a must too. People need to be told things from an official source and shouldn't be expected to pick up news from Facebook, not everybody uses either platform, most people can check the official website though. I'm glad the quotes coming from "Team BMR" have stopped and that they are being made by the team manager. Glasgow are still a work in progress too, comparing us to them now doesn't make sense, either promotion could fall flat on their face yet, neither is a completed job. It strikes me that our promotion are trying to make the place self sufficient, looking to run more events at the stadium and opening a KTM(?) dealership at the stadium. The training track will bring in funds too and hopefully we'll see some riders come through that and progress into the Rockets' team in years to come. Kings Lynn would be a better measuring stick for us, they made their stadium a multi-purpose venue, cleaned up at PL level and have now moved up the the EL, I see us potentially doing something similar, although I'd happily stay PL while the EL is Elite in name only.
  19. It's not speculation though, it's fact. Tyres are tyres and a speedway track is a speedway track, it doesn't matter how good the bloke on the bike is, if a blue groove is going to appear it's going to appear.
  20. PL riders being more skilled will use more lines than NL riders who will stick to one line meanining more rubber on one part of the track in the NL meeting, just as we're being pedantic. 15 heats of league speedway at any level will produce a blue groove eventually around Rye.
  21. That's not true, 15 heats of speedway is 15 heats of speedway, there'd be a blue groove still after the first meeting.
