  1. That is so weird... I'd forgotten all about Derrick and his ads (I never bought anything from him). As soon as I saw his name here, Saxmundham was the first thing that came to my mind!
  2. Remember, this thread isn't just about finding fathers and sons - there are many who haven't been mentioned. The original question asked if there were any cases of three fathers (at the same time) and each of their sons, riding for the same team.
  3. That's probably why they did it, then!
  4. I don't want to hijack the thread or anything, but are there any other cases of FOUR generations involved in British speedway?
  5. Same with the Dugards at Eastbourne, and (slightly differently) Neil Street and the Crumps at Swindon.
  6. Correct, but Martin and Paul didn't. As I said, it's a struggle finding three dads in the same team!
  7. Thing is, Steve isn't talking about brothers.
  8. I didn't know about Bob's grandson, and I don't know about Roy's boy, but you could be right...
  9. I'm having trouble finding three fathers who even rode in the same team, let alone have sons that rode for that team! I have Reg Luckurst, Trevor Hedge, and Bob Dugard, but I'm still looking...
  10. Sounds pretty unusual to me! You should know, it's weird things like that that interest me, so I'll do some research to see if there are any similar cases. That's if BL65 doesn't beat me to it!
  11. A better name would have been the Chigley 'Wigglies"... Their line-up was: 1 - Flack (Capt) 2 - Pugh 3 - Pugh 4 - Barney McGrew 5 - Cuthbert 6 - Dibble 7 - Grubb
  12. That is my point... There AREN'T 20 heats, and there ISN'T an interval.
  13. I must admit, I wasn't a great fan of what I saw. It seemed like it was in slow-motion, and it sounded like lawnmower racing...
  14. Can't say I've ever seen ANY meeting from Terenzano, but I watched that one yesterday. The track looked pretty good, but I couldn't believe the trouble they were having.
  15. So, let me ask you... You would be much happier doing a 600 mile round trip to see a meeting, and have it be over and done with within 45 minutes?
