Couldn't we just remove the offending incomparable bits then? ..... (;0) -
many questions should be asked over pooles success over the years, last year was a farce and not a true success, poole came up against clubs in financial proplems, and I honestly believe them clubs had to allow poole success, or other wise face the possibility of going out of business..... Good on you Eric. !! Not that've understand what your on about ... Just saying.

MANZARES TOPS ROB WOFFINDEN CLASSIC Rising star Gino Manzares (USA) has taken out the fourth running of the Rob Woffinden Classic at the Pinjar Park Speedway in brilliant fashion. The 20 year old Manzares looked sharp all night around the 142 metre Pinjar Park circuit and led home New South Welshmen Rowan Tungate and Jason Doyle in the final, with Majej Kus (Czech Republic) crossing the line fourth. Obviously his experience on the small tracks in California paid off for Manzares, who started the night off by winning the International One Lap Challenge. Manzares was clocked at 10.14 seconds to beat Kus 10.27, WA Champion Daniel Winchester 10.32, Paco Castagna (Italy) 10.37, Jason Doyle 10.44, Ricky Kling (Sweden) 10.49, Kyle Newman (UK) 10.51, Rowan Tungate 10.53 and Dakota North (Vic) 10.72. The top notch field of riders, arguably the best to be seen on an Australian circuit this summer, didn't disappoint the large crowd in attendance with some super action in the heat races. Manzares and Doyle were the top scorers on 14 points apiece, with Kus next best on 13 points, followed by Tungate 12, Newman 11, Kling 10, Castagna 10 and Winchester 8. The first semi final went to Manzares over Tungate and Kling, with Doyle proving too strong for Kus and Winchester in the second one. The stage was set for an exciting final and so it proved to be. Manzares charged out of gate 1 to lead Doyle and Tungate. Coming out of turn 2 Doyle slid out wide and Tungate was through to second. That's the way they finished in an entertaining race. The sidecars turned on a great display for the fans, even though they were down in numbers. There was plenty of passing and a little bit of paint was dislodged as the outfits banged their way around the tight little oval. The A Final went to Tony Shields/Ash Brown over Hugh Briotti/Brayden Wells, with the B Final seeing Vince Gianoncelli/Andy Gajek beating Scott Charsley/Juston Winchester. The action continues at Pinjar Park next Saturday (November 30) with the visiting riders staying on for the Oz Hot Shots versus the International All Stars team challenge. Teams racing is very different from an individual event like we saw on Saturday and many of the riders on show are very skilled at teams competition from their experience in Great Britain and across Europe. Woffy's Charity Ride Wolverhampton Speedway ace Tai Woffinden is to take on a gruelling challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Woffinden will cycle from Monmore Green to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff over two days ahead of the British Grand Prix on Saturday, June 1. He's set an initial target of £20,000 for the cause but he hopes to break that barrier comfortably. 'Woffy' lost his father Rob, a former rider himself, to cancer in 2010 and he is the inspiration behind the charity ride. Said Tai: "I will leave Wolverhampton on Tuesday, May 27. It's the day after our home meeting with Birmingham. "I will cycle via Birmingham, Redditch, Gloucester, the Severn Bridge, Newport and arrive in Cardiff on the Wednesday night in good time to prepare for the British GP on June 1. "My Dad is the inspiration behind this project. He did everything for me to get me started in Speedway and I said at the time we lost him that I had lost my best friend as well as my Dad. "According to Cancer Research UK more than one in three people in this country will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime." Donations can be made through Woffinden's Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/taiwoffinden01008 and Woffinden is hoping to raise funds through other projects as well. You can also donate by text by texting WOFF50 (amount) to 70070.

5TT QLD V North Qld V NSW V Darren & Sharron Young Guns V Nigel Boocock All Stars The 2 Sweds are Dackarna and Eastbourne's Ricky Kling and Rospiggarna Young Gun Pontus Aspgren. Both riders have been enjoying the tour of Australia after appearing at Pinjar Park, Gillman & Mildura they are booked in for the Jack Young Cup on the 11th December, then fly to the Gold Coast to get ready for the 5TT at the present I'm in talks with sponsors and riders in all parts of Australia in the hope of fielding a top class team to take on the best Qld, NSW, & the Darren & Sharron Young Guns any one of the teams can win!, so it's up to me to find a team to set the pace! We don't want to be an also ran team on the night. I hope I can get all the riders I'm talking to because this meeting is shaping up to be the hardest fought match seen in Australia in a long time.. with riders like Marsters, Heffernan, Sweetman, Smith, Leverington, etc up for the NSW & Qld to pick from, and with the likes of Auty etc I'll leave no stone unturned to field a top class team as competative as they are. To help raise the necessary funds for travel expenses, I'm "thinking" of auctioning off the Team Managers spot with the next 2 highest bidders being pit helpers/bike pushers, which would be a fantastic way for a speedway fan getting an insight into what it's like from the inside of a big speedway meeting, with all the excitement, pressure, and adrenalin filled night of being part of the professional TEAM from go to woah! they would be introduced to the riders and receive a full introduction on their specific roll on the night..... Obviously the team name might change depending on the strength of the team and the sponsorship, but the makings of a top class team to set the pace are in motion...... What do you all think?.... would an auction for a team manager - Pit helper/Bike pushers work? Regards. Phil Cain -
