Anyone taking over the running of Peterborough Speedway always had the difficult issues with the showground owners who seem set in there ways with regards to the speedway, talking nice to them didnt work for RF or GR they both still faced problems with them as well , so the situation ultimately ends with the showground management reverting to the term next please..

Peterborough have spent the majority of those past 20 years racing in the top flight of British Speedway, granted theres been a few different owners over the years but two of them gave there fans the Elite League title with some top class riders, good racing and with plenty of entertainment thrown in coupled with the satisfaction of being twice the best speedway club in the country, so whos actually had the best of those past 20 years in the long run. Of course its all changed now for sure

Interesting you say there was a poor crowd and yet there was a delay to let people in the stadium, maybe due to just the usual last minute arrivals not the size of paying customers
