  1. Its not the Doc as far as im aware.
  2. Again, caused by the weather. Please see Sugerays post..
  3. Glyn erected the airfence in the morning. I take it thats what your refering to.. He spent the rest of the day trying to prepare the track which was knee deep in slop. which eventually proved imposible.
  4. Granted, but BV is a brand new complex, and there should be no problem in keeping that tip top with maximum access. other tracks have to work round dogs, and the weather, and that is not easy. then you need to have people who can gurrantee you the time, many volunteers have to work so they have to work round that. We have good lads that can get in aprox 4.30 5 pm on a weds, and then have plenty of things to do a lot of checking is done before hand, and any problems are convayed to them. The track boys get on with there job, and anybody who has prepared a track knows its not easy. You can keep going round in circles Phil titavating this and that, but things will never be perfect. but the main priority is rider safety. You can prepare a track the same way two weeks running for example, with the same weather on each day, but the track will never ride the same.
  5. Very difficult Phil when you have limited access. and costs a lot of money The track has not, been neglected as some know alls seem to think who dont even live anywhere near poole. it was completely levelled out during the winter, but the 1-2 nd bend could have been re-done earlier. That said, the problem does not just lay there, and the weather has also played a big part. As i said, there are many on here who wouldnt know the difference between shale and sand, yet they propose to know it all. No more comment needed.
  6. And do you know why Phil ? It will be sorted. Put it this way, Glyn wasnt happy and im dam sure that Matt was even less so.. I'l leave it there.
  7. SSSSHHH, your not suposed to say that, it goes against the grain on here..
  8. Quite right, and his business. He puts the effort in even when he's against the ropes. Its just a shame nothing has gone for us, yet..
  9. Nevermind mate.. I stick up for Matt beause he tries to do the right thing by the club. But nowadays its getting harder with the big boys pretty much calling it a day in this country.. I mean, we took your lot to two points, so it doesnt really say a lot for your team, does it..
  10. Coming from somebody who doesnt like poole nor Matt im not suprised at the junk you and many others write. Dont like poole or matt dont reply. Simple really..
  11. Most clubs are not loyal to riders they are treated as jockeys.. I personally dont wholely agree with it, but, in this day and age its all about averages. and if you want to win anything, you have to be competitive. Simple as that. Same as football clubs have to keep improving there squads, otherwise you just go backwards.
  12. Your a bit late in the day with this. Still, we all know you are not a fan of Matt nor Poole, so i dont know why you bother.. What bait you using today ?
  13. Might well do in a 100 yrs time. !! in 50 odd yrs time half of Sandbanks could well be missing.. Good to read all this so many closit Poole fans, Matt would be proud of the fact..
  14. But the rewards are there if, you get to the top.
  15. We know what the problem is, and hopefully it will be sorted.. But im very sure we are not the only club to have these issues..
  16. I would agree with you first four. It will do Woryna the world of good to be at reserve this season for a while give him a chance to find his stride. But to add to that 4, if Matt can find a big hitter to add to them that would be good as those 4 wouldnt kill the team building average. Unless the powers that be decided to make it 32.50 although nothing would suprise me.. I to am an advercate of one big league which ive already said, and then one big grand final, and really hang out the carrot to me its the way forward as its doubtful now the top boys will not return. But you saw what response i got from one of the forum numpties. who couldnt say anything constructive, so had to resort in a rather inane comment, which sums him up. But you can be sure that Matt will not give this season up yet, not by a long chalk..
  17. Gonna have to mate. Otherwise we could struggle..
  18. Nope, neither did we. It was built on POTENTIAL, but its been very slow coming to hand, its getting there but there may have to be a few changes. Problem is, many people cannot afford to go now, week in week out, when you tot everything up it becomes a very expensive night. The lightlyhood of the top boys coming back here is nil, so speedway will have to cut its cloth right across the board for it to survive as a professional sport. And if that means one big league cutting admission prices and a play off system of North and South then a grand final so beit. dangle the carrot give it the publicity and get people in..
  19. Its just the way i read the posts mate. Sadly, there are many on here who like to have a pop at Poole, because its Poole and the clubs success. But i also wonder if a lot on here are really speedway fans because they come across very spiteful and pretty clueless. From a Poole perspective, if we say its white they will say its black, so really you just put them on block and ignore them, its the only way round it.. We are all pretty cheesed off at Poole with the season we have had so far, i would hate to talk for Matt. But unfortunately, most of it has been down to circumtances.
  20. Mate. Ive not read all the dross on here sinse dinner time and i really cannot be bothered to read those posts they are just anti poole snipping and know nothings. You talk a lot of sense and im happy to read you posts. Mate our problem is 3 fold, but the biggest problem we have had is the weather and the water table. the tides are getting higher and will eventually re-claim land, so you mix that with the unpredictable weather and heavy downpours and what do you get ? But you are wasting you time telling these on here because it goes in one ear and out the other. A Orlov hit the nail on the head with one of his posts this morning, and he was spot on, and he's a Swindon fan...
  21. But its not the clubs fault. You cannot get that across to the dumb dumbs on here. They are taking great delight in it because its poole. I know what the problem is Glyn does and Matt will now be fully aware. and yes, it will not be cheap. bare in mind, the bends 1-2 repairs were not done until 3 weeks before P&P day, knowhere near long enough for it to bed in properly. with the snow and rain. you needed several weeks of reasonable weather, and we did not get it. Now, please refere to my posts. Thank you.
  22. Burnham on sea. thsts where you live, isnt it... Speedway is definately on a par with footballoland. Football is our biggest sport, speedway once was on a par with it, with national papers regualry contrabuting and attendances in relation wre just as good. Spoeedway in this country has slipped dramatically. We have many good sponsors at poole, but what we have being the biggest club in british speedway is a fraction compared to poland. They are also geared up properly for track prep. Many tracks barely have one tractor made of 3-4. in this country. and i wont name them... That doesnt include poole.
