there is every possibility that a bit of dirt could be put down for thursday night blink so that the two qualifying countries arent riding a full meeting on a slick track and getting dialled in before saturdays final but whatever happens i dont believe the track will be set up completely the same for both meetings also i assume there is no practice before this meeting its just straight into it with practice before fridays final

the old slick track chestnut has been getting trotted out since the 80s at brandon wether it was a test match or world team cup qualifier you had the brits being interviewed on video moaning about how we are the home team and its set up for the danes how can that happen blah blah blah the bottom line is if a rider has any aspirations of being at the top of the tree with the big boys then you better learn to adapt to all track types its pretty straight forward is it not

i remember my first and only visit to the county ground when i was a youngster now bearing in mind i was used to the blantyre tracks at the time you can imagine how shocked i was when i saw this monster with a greyhound track on the inside and a rugby pitch my dad and i watched the main meeting from the back straight up beside the pits but wandered over to the home straight and watched the second half right by the fence idiot me i nearly rubbish a brick when the riders flew past me on the first lap you could feel the drag blowing your hair

to be honest i dont think young wuffy will do any worse than stead or allen would in vojens and he has a lot more potential than either of them in my opinion so why not get him in there now and give him a bit of experience on the big stage and he doesnt strike me as the sort of lad who would let the occassion get to him or let his head drop if he has a poor one england have nothing to lose by putting him in and tai has a lot to gain

whit is pedersen playin at he got aff the track there like a gazelle could he no have done that in his previous two rides i had dosh on hancock so a wee re-run wouldnt have went amiss and who knows the baw bag in the box might even have let him back in
