  1. Well if the Brits don't win tommorrow (and I still belive we can) would it be justice done, if whoever rides heat 25 for us holds up the Dane and lets through the Aussie on the first lap to let Australia win by one point? Now what was it Hans Andersen said last night about what gos around comes around?
  2. What annoyed me more was the fact Stadia UK decided to cash in by doubling the price of the carpark. Meaning even longer ques as those who know the parking is £1 at Reading, had fish in wallets and hanbags to find another quid
  3. Mariusz have you checked the train times someone may be able to collect you an take you back to Reading Station?
  4. Think you hit the nail on the head that time Hammer (sorry couldn't resist it must be the heat)
  5. In a meaningless match that was the first time Chris had ridden a bike since the end of last season. But it won't be. Ole Olsen will make it slick and neutral like he always does. But he still rode faster around Reading last year than any Brit has done this year!
  6. As long as I can get there before any Polish invasion I'll be in my usual seat in the last block before the first bend.
  7. Sorry Andy, Reading fans want to cheer GB not Boo them Got to be Chris Louis for Simon tough call after Sunday night but Horses for courses.
  8. What annoys me about the rules is the no reserve. If a team lose a rider in there 1st or 2nd race. Game over
  9. The only Brit who has looked better than Chris Louis around Smallmead this year is Mark Loram. Neck out time: Chris in a cert place in the final Simon in ?
  10. Unfortunatley Its a FIM meeting run by BSI not a BSPA one so what Olsen says go's
  11. I don't know for certain but I have been told that the ground under the back strait stand is being leveled so either temporary seating can go in or the people at the front will be the only ones to see anything!
  12. If he doesn't use Loram and Louis at Reading I could be selling my tickets cheap
  13. I totaly agree that the World Cup should not be at Smallmead Stadium this year. As I have said before their are other stadiums that would be better and I don't know why they weren't chosen when BSI found out it couldn't be at Brandon. But I have just got fed up with the constant Ill informed guess's that It's all a fix so BSI make more money. As for any coments about the track all speedway fans know their home track is the best and all others are rubbish. but Readings has the perfect shape alot of others don't and it doesn't matter what the racing serface is like week in week out the track whether it be Reading, Poole, Kings Lynn, Glasgow or where ever, will be "created" for the World Cup by Ole Olsen Not the track curator working under guidence from the Promotion and riders.
  14. BSI won't save any money by holding it at Smallmead. When will people get off JP's back and realise 1 BSI wanted and intended to hold the World Cup Final at Coventry but couldn't because of a dog meeting. 2 BSI do not OWN the Reading track, Stadium or car park they have to pay Stadia UK the going rate for the use of these weather it is for Reading or FIM use. 3 BSI will not save or make anymore money by holding it at Reading than any other stadium 4 Any changes made to the stadium have to be done by Stadia UK as they own it and if they (or the stadium manager, Pat Bliss's brother) have decided to play silly games it is not BSI's fault. Rant over RACERS FOREVER
  15. Just glad to see Speedway is still all about who you know and not what you know
  16. From a very rough translation from his web site I think Janusz is at Tarnow his home track providing he is fit.
  17. Whats even better news for Sweden is that Swedish riders always seem to ride well at Smallmead.
  18. I agree he will do well in Poland, but in the race off he may be reduced to 1 or 2 points which wouldn't do our cause a lot of good.
  19. Sure I've said this somewhere before Simon Stead is a great rider but he is CR*P at Reading.
  20. As someone said at Reading last night. I don't think any British rider has had a faster heat time at Smallmead this year than Danny did last year. Even of those listed with the race off and final at Reading Dean Barker, Leigh Lanham Danny King and Phil Morris should all be in the squad before Eddie Kennet.
  21. Because the track in Poland is very different to the one at Reading.
  22. Well for one I would put my money on DB over Olly around Smallmead any day of the week. Though Eddie Kennett at Smallmead?
