  1. Has anyone received their tickets yet - are they cutting it close to sending them out, or is the post just being rubbish!?
  2. Hi Rico me + 1 as discussed, have mailed you too... Cheers!
  3. I think they will be waiting until they get a lot of the money in from the Cardiff ticket sales, which is why the Cardiff '09 tickets are on sale so soon. Discount only until September, and the GP calendar will be out in October.... There is the risk of hitting Cardiff attendances, but may also drive down the rent on the Millennium Stadium when the deal is next signed too as Cardiff will know they are not the only option. The Cardiff hotel problems have obviously got to them too, judging by the article in the Cardiff Echo at the weekend. If Speedway and Rugby League walk away from the Millennium Stadium, it becomes very underused indeed following the loss of the Cup Finals and Play offs
  4. Lonigo is fairly easy to do, although it is one of two you need to hire a car for (Malilla being the other one) the racing was average last year (but better than what was served up in Prague and Gelsenkirchen!) Flew to Verona last year (with BA), although you can fly to Verona-Brescia with Ryanair but that airport is slightly further out. Verona is a good place to spend a couple of days and it tied in nicely with Verona v Juve last year although the game was rubbish! Its about 40 min drive from Verona to Lonigo. Found a good hotel in Verona last year which was just on the outskirts but a easy enough to get to the centre and free parking too.
  5. Czech Republic won't be joining the Euro until around 2012. If you avoid the really touristy places the food and drink is nice and cheap
  6. The goats are good! And easily viewed from quite a few of the bars! The late train from Leszno back to Poznan will be my next opportunity to get those PKP curtains
  7. Make sure you get to see the rutting goats on the Poznan town square clock at midday Mercure is slightly more than 500m to the town square, but not a bad location and close enough to the station too
  8. Done Leszno 3 times now, not many hotels there so opt for staying in Poznan and getting the train There are a few trains back in the evening, a couple before midnight, which take an hour to get back to Poznan, which has plenty of places to stay The other option would be to stay in Wroclaw , but the train journey is longer (about 1.5 hrs). After the world cup semi the train back was due at 00:27, but was delayed...ended up back in Wroclaw at 3am...which is why Poznan seems a better bet!
  9. yes, you can pick up the tickets and programmes at the practice session. Its a 3pm start as normal....
  10. metcheck isn't forecasting as much rain as the others if that helps...! metcheck
  11. The practice session for the GP or practicing drinking in the Guinness Bar? Am planning on doing both
  12. For Mallila last year I flew to Gothenburg, hired a car and stayed in Jonkoping (about halfway between the two). This year I am planning on flying to Norrkoping (Ryanair) on the Sat, driving to the GP and then back to the airport and the early flight home - worked ok for the GP qualifier in Vetlanda last year Not too much in the way of accomodation near Mallila so heading back north after the GP and staying at Norrkoping or Linkoping is your best bet. If you are going for a few days you can probably catch a Swedish league meeting on the Thursday We are flying to Cologne and getting the train to Essen and staying there. Another alternative would be to fly to Dortmund, about 30 mins away. Hope this helps
  13. not sure why , no problem here but try this page, just click on the stadium plan near the bottom of the page.. veltins arena
  14. Can anyone give me an idea of which row to pick, am thinking of the first bend, but should I go for a higher or lower numbered row, or will the view be ok from any of them? Thanks!
  15. I got the train to Daugavpils from Riga for last year's GP, and go the bus back to Riga Best advice is to get the bus bus rather than the train. The train is VERY uncomfortable (cramped, low seats), although only costs about £3.50 Buses are just as cheap, but much more comfortable. Whichever way you travel you are looking at anywhere between 3 and 4 hours. bus timetables here, just buy a ticket at the bus terminal before you go.. Latvian Buses
  16. Poznan to Bydgoszcz is ok by train ....2 to 2 1/2 hrs. I flew into Gdansk last year and doing the same for this year, only 1hr 50 mins on the train. The flight is early morning so can get to Gdansk , get on the train and get to Bydgoszcz in plenty of time for the practice session and a few beers Flying home from Poznan on the monday as better placed for the U21 final on the Sunday Fares to Bydgoszcz from either is around £5 second class or you could shell out £8 for 1st class train timetable here: PKP
  17. Looks like Ryanair have released all their Polish flights up to September for sale now for those who were waiting too book for Bydgoszcz I went for a nice cheap flight to Gdansk instead though as I did that last year and got the train down, cheaper and better flight times Appears that the Wroclaw flight times have also changed for anyone who has booked these already for the GP in May (not sure when the change happened for these as they haven't informed me but the new times seem better than the original ones anyhow)
  18. It does sound like a good weekend, I have my Bydgoszcz hotel already booked Hopefully the U21 will be a 5pm start as you say, the last train out of Ostrow Wlkp looks to be 20.24...a 6pm start would be cutting it a bit fine
  19. Just looking at skyscanner, there is an airline called jet2.com (never heard of them?) but they fly Edinburgh to Prague so you might want to look at them too
  20. Air Baltic was fine last year and slightly cheaper than BA, only slight problem is the late arrival time (around 22:30) in Riga itself when you fly out

  22. Italy GP is the same weekend as Verona v Juventus is Serie B! Should make for a great weekend, shame they don't announce their fixture changes for TV sooner
  23. The FIM conference (seeming a jolly in Brazil) is the 15th to 21st October and the dates will supposedly confirmed during this time Apart from the British GP , the Danish one is the 9th of June, and the World Cup race off and final at Leszno is seemingly the 19th and 21st of July U21 final is in Poland on the 9th Sept, but Venue is tba
