  1. The Bellini story part 2, with the older engine types like the SOHC / Desmo / OHV is now on the Bahnsporttechnik site. The site is now with online translation in English and French.
  2. Just go to www.google.uk/ type in, bahnsporttechnik.....it will come up with a translate button to view the whole site. Quick and easy.
  3. Under at the Bellini story is a phone- and faxnumber, and Mr Bellini speaks very good English, so contacting him is no problem.
  4. For the ones interested in bikes and engines, on the German internet site; http://bahnsporttechnik.de/home.html is an article about a brand new Italian speedway engine the "Bellini"
  5. More amazing news from Japanese AutoRace (speedway). Next year there will be an AutoRace Women League. New is also Tandem racing, 2 riders together on 1 bike. The bike for this event have a longer seat and a sissy bar at the end, and extra protection around the rear sprocket. http://www.autorace-or.jp/autorace_stadium...503-tandem.html Imagine this, a street legal speedway (autorace) bike!! Hard to believe but in Japan you can buy these machines with a Honda 250cc (moto x) engine. http://www.auto-machine.com/
  6. On the internet there are some video's about Autorace (Speedway) in the old days. Look under youtube. Just pick the ones from GOZIRA 1.
  7. Hi CP. More info arrived about Japanese machines. At http://www.autorace.or.jp/old_site/info/in...vent/meisha.jpg you find some old Japanese machines used before 1993. The HKS and Triumph are the machines with 2 cyl engines. The others are the Toyo / Kyokuto and Meguro with 1cyl, Sohc 2V engines.
  8. Hi CPByles. Thanks to Mr N.Shiraishi I have the answer about the Japanese mystery machine on your WORKSHOP site. That engine is a TOYO with a 616cc !!! It was made in the beginning of the 1970 thies and is the first AutoRace single cylinder engine with a DOHC 4V system.
  9. More info by email today. Other Twin engines used in Japanese speedway before 1993 are the Triumph Tiger T 120 engine, and the Meguro MR (almost a copy of the Triumph) engine. Both are 650cc and are OHV 2V type. The other twin cylinder engine is the Toyo type VEX made in 1980. This engine with 663cc is a SOHC 2V engine.
  10. Some Email friends told me something more about the Hasegawa engines. The Hasegawa on the "Workshop Site" is in fact the single cylinder HKS engine, and HKS is a part of the Fuji Heavy Industry. There are 2 types of the HKS. The single cylinder is the HKS type HT 000, this engine is a DOHC 4V with 603cc. (Made from 1979) The twin cylinder is the HKS type HR 652, this engine is a DOHC 4 V with 663cc.(Made from 1986)
  11. Thanks for the names, but do you know of any website with a little bit more information and maybe if possible some photos of the machines.
  12. I try to find information from engines and machines used in Japanese Speedway. In Japan speedway is there AutoRace and I know that from 1993 everone use the SEAR (Super Engine Auto Race) AR600 and the AR500 made by Suzuki The AR500 is for the rookies. I hope that somebody have information from the engines and machines used before 1993, because I think there must be many different types of engines.
  13. maybe another nice link for the ones interested in Japanese speedway is; http://mrkazuoh.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ this is a site about amateur speedway riding in Japan riding on much smaller tracks, but it looks very much like the Pro's. even the machines looking very professional, but the engines are from 80 to 125cc and made by Honda.
