  1. I enjoyed Gollobs team riding but I also really thought the German fella doing the practise start and flipping it, holding on and getting up very sheepishly was funny. Also love Sky's inability to shut off the mics when they are live. Tony Millard shouting 'Come ooooooon' when Jonathan Greene was interviewing as a race was about to start and then Tatum making his thoughts known to the studio guys while Greene was talking about a tactical sub/Joker, you could hear Huewen say 'You have to be careful Kelvin' referring tot he fact his mic was still streaming. Took me back to Tatum saying 'Oooooh Baby' during a GP when the start girls were shown on camera. SWITCH YA MC OFF SIR KELV' Pete
  2. No worries Ozy, your guys will win anyway. I predict. Australia - 64 Poland - 56 Denmark - 55 GB - 40 Sweden - 35 Pete
  3. Nothing worng with Champions just lots wrong with predictability. I agree 100% that the best people/team should win the championships. Seems I didn't make my point well enough, what I meant was that I hope that someone can step up to the plate and take the title off you lot. Just like I hope Montoya beats Schumi, Sete beats Valentino and Everton beat Man Yoo . There is nothing wrong with those guys wining the title as surely if they do then they have been the best that year. I don't want a team to beat the Aussies for the sake of beating them I want a team to rise to the challenge but if not then Oz were the best and so be it. Does that make sense? Pete
  4. I'll remind you of that comment when they win  I actually have to say that I want anyone BUT the Aussies to win. Not that I don't have the greatest respect for them or their fans but I hate when any sport is dominated by one team, like in the 80's I wanted anyone but the Danes to win. Same with Rickardsson and the world title, Schumacher, Man Yoo etc etc. These people win all the time and eventaully people long for change. Pete
  5. Few biscuits short of a tin? LMAO, I like that. I thought being an Aussie you would say 'one can short of a six pack' or am I just being stereotypical Anyway you have both forgotten them there Poles, never turn your back on them or they will bite you in the a***. Go GB and Hampel (if he rides) and also GO AUSSIES....................go far away, let us win this one Pete
  6. No worries, I know we have had a few prank posts about this recently so you have to be alert. I can safely assure you though I would never post anything about a rider unless I know it to be true Pete (not the one who cried wolf )
  7. Gemini I may be a lot of things but I don't find it funny to lie about riders being injured etc :? This came from a reliable source that I know would not say it unless it was true and it turned out to be 100% accurate. Pete
  8. Oops sorry mum, just started a new thread with this. Can I still have my Alphabetti Spaghetti? Pete
  9. I know we have had these sort of things flying around on here but I have heard from very reliable source that Ricko has pulled out due to dizziness and what have you following on from his crash in Sweden recently. He will be replaced by Peter Ljung! Pete
  10. Agree 100% 21st. My picks for surprise package would be Brhel, Lyons and Norris. We all know they can do it in spurts but they really brought everything to the table in their respective meetings. Jarek can do it consistently I am sure and it will come. He does though need the right track and Ipswich hasn't come inot that category this year, looks clueless when behind! I htink the Aussies look as vulnerable as they ever have done. Sully is not flying and Lyons and Wiltshire could or could not go well. If any team on Satdee id up for it big time then they are there for the taking. Unfortunately my heart has to take the back seat though and I go for: Oz Poland Denmark Sweden GB Pete
  11. Depends what the track is like on Thursday. If it is like Monday's effort then the Swedes should be stronger IMO. If we make the final (and I am NOT an advocator of five man races) can you imagine a line-up of Rickardsson, Crump, Gollob, Nicholls and Pedersen. Top banana! Pete
  12. Good ol' Jarek Once more a Witch puts on any other race jacket and becomes a world beater for the night. Fair play to the lad though, by far the star of the night with some excellent hard but fair riding in one or two races. In his last ride it seemed that he was caught out by excessive watering. Good to see him try and be interviewed in English also, unlike his illustrious captain (more often than not). Makes for a good race-off. Have to put the Swedes down as faves, can't see Max having two off nights but GB have a real good chance of making Satdee's final given that they have all ridden the track once (unlike any of the other qualifiers) and seem to have the will to win. Should be a good 'un. Come on GB!!!! Pete
  13. I have just had a phone call from a mate in cardiff about Lyons and Hancock not riding? Apparently Stoney is replaing Lyons (no news of Hancock replacement). Anyone got any news on this or is it just wicked rumours?????? Pete
