You, me and hubby so far.........
-
Yes he did very well.
-
any news on how Darren is??
-
great to see Jake doing so well.
-
who was riding for YS. no Darren, Cal or Lewis. Suprised Cal wasn't riding. Thought YS would have had priority over a reserve berth at an individual meeting, mind it is a long way to have to travel from way up there in bonny Scotland but that is the price you pay being a speedway rider

and i think simon got 16.

whoops !!!! Ithink one of the 'juniors' as you put it was Simon Lambert testing his bike !!!!!! I may be wrong but I am sure Lynn have a air fence tucked away somewhere. -

Were you at the same meeting as us?? Jake went to Lewis immediately to see if he was okay and the announcer said how sporting of Jake to be concerned and both sets of supporters applauded him. -

Hope injured riders are okay. Lewis has concussion and I heard that it was the bike that injured Richard. Get well soon. I reckon the Heathens supporters outnumbered the YS supporters last night. -

Thanks Mike. Let us hope all goes well at Rye for Darren and he gets back to us safe and sound and no bike problems. Not being a star supporter not really interested in the result. :o -

Danny King was brilliant tonight. Thoroughly enjoyed tonights meeting albeit via the internet. GB's young lads did well against much more experienced riders. -
I have a vague memory of that but he definitely went back to Brisbane to and joined the paramedics. have been doing a bit of digging and found this: 'Another popular Aussie of the mid 70's side. Ron Struggled for a while then just as his talent started to become noticeable he decided to quit and become a social worker.'
-
I may still have a cutting from an Aussie newspaper sent to me, I will see if I can find it and then we will know for sure, but for now I am more than positive he was a paramedic.
-
No he was a paramedic.
-
Ron Henderson - went back to Brisbane became a Paramedic. Went to USA for training and I seem to remember him winning an award. Rob Hollingsworth - still riding on occasions Kelvin Mullarkey - the man we used to hate at Newcastle

'you either love him or hate him' I still miss Kenny and Pam and I will never forget that tragic day. No one will ever really know what went through his mind that day, what caused him to act as he did. I attended both their wedding and their funeral. One was of great happiness and one was of great sorrow. What happened was and still is a tragedy. I forgave him. There is not a day goes by when I do not think of them and the family. Yes, he was cocky, he was brash but that was his character, he believed he could be no 1 and will never know if his dream would have come true. You never know who will be reading the posts on this foum................ My thoughts are with both families. R. I. P Kenny and Pam. Together forever. Miss you.xx
