  1. Oh those were the days. Bring them back I say. Loved the second half meetings.
  2. Opposite for us. we waited and then I realised I could contact the man in the know and we made the 60+ mile round trip. would only do this for the NL or if we wanted to see a certain team or riders. I guess it is not so much the team we support but the young lads having a go.
  3. Enjoyed our speedway fix. no more for one month though. All the lads got stuck in. Track was in good nick. Fastest time of the night goes to Jake Knight. 62.4 heat 8. When he gates and gets to the front he is good to watch. smooth leg trailing style. Roll on June 15th. Saddened though by the lack of support for the YS's.
  4. the latest we can leave is 6.30pm so can someone let us know what the weather is doing please? If we lived in or nearer Lynn we wouldn't hesitate to go along and see what happens but a 60 mile round trip to find the weather has put the dampers on so to speak is not much fun. Got to stop at Baxters for chips en route as well !! priorities !! We are die hard NL supporters so do not really want to miss a meeting if we can help it. Sorry to say we are not interested in EL racing. Just wish Sundays had been kept as race night for the NL, much easier for us. boss man not home from work yet so it will be a rush as usual. We don't see that the crowd has improved that much on a wednesday when the senior team is not racing. Our opinion of course brain not working!!!!!!! shall just text dale !!!
  5. can someone keep us updated with weather please? don't want to make an unecessary trip from Boston to find it called off, especiially with cost of petrol etc.... I know it is still early but has there been much rain? forecast for showers up to around 4 and then sunny intervals. Do we believe these weather forecasts??????
  6. Spare a thought for the poor fellow who will be manning the Track Shop tomorrow, as he's currently suffering with sciatica Ooooooh Know how you feel....been there....suffered with sciatica.......you have my sympathy matey
  7. Thanks Phil. Leaving in about 5 mins from a very grey windy and cold part of S Lincs.
  8. Any news on weather down Mildenhall way please. very grey here in Lincolnshire.
  9. According to Somersets website, Kyle Hughes has decided to step down from the sport. Blew his main engine on Friday. Is it a step down from speedway full stop or just premier league?
  10. A good meeting marred by the injuries to Darren and Lewis. It was the meeting that had everything but also had what we didn't want. Our best wishes to Darren and Lewis.
  11. What is your problem? I can see nothing wrong in Bossmans postings only the fact that he/she was on way to see the meeting and asking why there was little interest in the meeting on the forum. So, what is your problem, please enlighten us.
  12. Neil Machin might know. Could be around 9.00
  13. As is Simon Walker in a boat without a paddle as you say........ these lads just want to race. Give them a team someone please...... :D
  14. Simon Walker would love a chance to ride this season.
  15. I meant if it was £16 for ONE meeting per person and not a double header we would not go. Will stick to NL thanks. I can see I have dug myself a hole so I will go jump in it
  16. Sorry, yes it was. I guess I am out of touch with prices, NL is all we see. Hubby thought it might have been £25 but hey ho we got it wrong. Still say NL meeting was the best.
  17. We also thought the crowd seemed down to previous visits. Don't think the football would have been the problem but we were shocked at having to pay £30 entrance. I may be wrong but I am sure we didn't pay that much in previous visits for a double header. At least the prog was only £1 and the chips were good. NL match was by far the best. I guess at the end of the day it is money that matters and on the end of a bank holiday people were probably broke. We make a day of it to come to Scunny so we planned ahead fundwise but not enough it seems as we had to dig into the coffers for more :o
  18. thoroughly enjoyable meeting. great to see youngsters getting stuck in. Well done again Jake and congrats to Darren winning the match race and a sound performance.
  19. We are off to Scunny but there seems to be little interest in this meeting.......
  20. Simon Walker in the team would be good.
  21. Oh dear not good news. Lets hope Adam will be on the road to recovery soon.
