King's Lynn V Leicester (29.07.15)
whippy replied to em1500uk's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The person that seems to have been at the bottom of the call of was a rider from Leicester who didn't want to ride because it was raining. we saw Buster intimating that the meeting should go on but if riders do not want to ride...........I do think heat 10 should have went ahead, a 2 min warning should have been put out as the others were at the tapes. by the time the discussion was over the rain was much heavier by then. Lewi didn't look happy or comfortable in his race prior. Safety for riders is paramount. Sun was still out when we arrived but they should have done away with parade and got on with it. Seems to be faults all round. Nothing can be done about it now so we just have to put it behind us and move forward. -
Kings Lynn Vs Belle Vue : Wed 23rd July

Me too. We were at BV on Monday and KB did give it a go. His points tally or the teams does not show how hard they tried. -

King's Lynn V Lakeside 25th June 19.45
whippy replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Wow we really enjoyed the meeting. The score doesn't relate to how good the racing was. Yes !!! There was racing and coming from the back which Lambert and Milik did so for those who say Lynn is not a passing track anymore all I can say is you should have been there. Milik was great, very entertaining. A great addition to the team. Dubious exclusion for Robert, he was sandwiched between the two Lakeside riders !! We thought there was a good crowd, didn't seem down to us. The team put on a show for Rory and it was great to seem walking 4 weeks after his op. Another great track prepared by the one and only Buster and a welcome return to Kevin on the Mike. -
Lots of passing last night esp by Ruthless !!

Folk should be thankful the sun is shining and it is not tossing it down with rain !!!! All part and parcel of the sport. Rather wait a little while than see a race where the sun blinded a rider and it caused an accident and possibly have to wait longer...........

Kings Lynn Young Stars V Mildenhall Fen Tigers 15th April
whippy replied to Rickyb's topic in National League Speedway
We thought there were a lot more KL supporters there than we thought there would be. Only saw one group of Mildenhall supports in their usual place on the first bend. -
Well, we will go regardless just because we are grateful to be able to see some speedway. it is worth a 60+ miles round trip just to see the sport we love. Just love speedway.
-
Same here. We will be there as long as there is a meeting.on. We live for our speedway and it is a long winter without it. Found a nice sheltered spot last week and really enjoyed watching RL especially. We missed being at usual place on first bend but it was too cold to be up top and it was good to be down on back straight for a change where you get such a sense of speed.

King's Lynn V Lakeside Tues 31st Sky 7.30
whippy replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sadly not everyone has the choice of watching it at home in the warm which means we either travel 30 + miles to see speedway or we stay at home and miss it. Think it will be back straight shelter for us tonight as it is a touch too far for me to walk nearly full length of track to get to first bend. Trouble is I hate being out of my normal viewing point !!! but better to be in the shelter than up on the top shelf in the cold and possibly wet. -

Glasgow V Newcastle Pl Sun 24th Aug 2014 @3pm
whippy replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Hope Lewis and Simon are okay and the diamonds can get themselves sorted out for tomorrows meeting. Could possibly have won at Glasgow with a full team !!! not a bad effort for a 5 man team. -
why take to drink automatically because of 'upsetting news'!! many people in everyday life hear upsetting news but do not use it as an excuse to take to alcolhol !!! He new he would be racing so no excuse !!!!
