  1. Perhaps things need to run their natural course then and something start up from the ashes... I don't know, I'm really lost for words now, ones that haven't already been said a thousand times anyway.
  2. I've seen 3 Yanks in the last few days and I would say the future looks quite bright for them, Becker and Nicol were impressive at the NSS earlier today and Ruml impressed at Leicester on Saturday night.
  3. Surely the BSPL can't just stand by any longer and just watch the sport evaporate before their eyes. They HAVE to make Speedway clubs viable to run, the ONLY way to do this is to put a cost cap in place. Whether this means pay rates or sealed engines or whatever it is, please do SOMETHING!
  4. Isn't it ironic that after 20 years of TV coverage, Starting with Sky then BT Sport and finally the jokers at Eurosport it is only now in potentially the final year of the SGP coverage on BT Sport that we are finally getting the kind of in depth analysis that the coverage has been missing from the very start. It's a shame that Scott Nicholls took so long to get a shot at presenting the show and I thought he did a pretty good job. I remember watching Gary Lineker's first match of the day years ago and wooden doesn't even begin to describe it. I hope he becomes the face of Speedway on BT Sport if they continue with the SGP coverage.
  5. Bridger? Pulling a big locker? Are you sure it was him?
  6. Ditto, had my car done about 25 years ago... had to drive back to Leicester with no window... luckily it was dry
  7. There seemed to be a few struggling with the turn 3 dip last night
  8. I've just checked the regs and it's at the refs discretion as to what is foul, unfair or dangerous riding... anyway it wasn't any of them for me, not that it really matters... just seemed a bit unfair of the ref.
  9. Those Leicester fans can be quite mischievous
  10. Not everybody paid Eastboune rates though by the sounds of things
  11. Eastbourne fans may not have fancied the 400 mile round trip, no. Kennett was advertised as riding after all.
  12. I don't know, officially, what the definition of unfair riding is but I would have said that it was to deliberately impede a rider causing him to fall. In a first bend melee, traditionally it's been an all 4 back.
  13. Wasn't stated as cause of the stoppage though, announced as unfair riding.
  14. A still picture does not tell the whole story though, I'd like to see a video replay of the incident. Who was the ref anyway?
  15. I think they'd be promoting the Artem Laguta angle rather than the crap racing angle... by the looks of the crowd most people seemed quite happy with it
  16. I'm guessing... perhaps it was just a coincidence that nobody mentioned it, in the 24 hour age of information, until it was too late.
  17. BSPL don't come out of it too well though...
  18. Don't know, maybe, maybe not... I would have said that with the right pay scale, Championship level Speedway would have been easily sustainable at Eastbourne.
  19. Surely it's buried down much deeper in the interview... they didn't re-negotiate the 2020 rider contracts and they were already high payers
  20. Well, it's worded differently in the rule book no doubt, unsatisfactory start or first bend bunching, the ref has the facility to put "all four back"... it definitely was not unfair riding.
