  1. There's now 3 live threads for Oxford... more virulent than Covid!
  2. Looks like the track is based on Poole's
  3. Definitely... though the fact remains that ALL clubs in this country do not attract the numbers of people through the turnstiles to make their businesses profitable
  4. Even though they've proved not to this very year?
  5. If they did they would be running next season... but I get it, there were multiple reasons as to why many of these clubs have closed. Bottom line is that not enough people attend the sport
  6. Yes they'll reap the financial rewards of running on an off race night in early November and then in the following season, if they're still in business, they can reap the rewards of winning the Championship by failing to ever mention it ever again to promote their business
  7. I know what you mean and if the CL de-strengthens then I'm sure he could but as the strengths of the leagues converge then his BV average of 5.2 is pretty similar to his 5.3 at Berwick, therefore I'd say his average is an accurate reflection of his abilities... it's a no from me
  8. Does Sweden even count as a league? A lot of riders hardly do what you'd call a full season over there with their squad system
  9. Don't forget Peterborough are also up for sale along with KL... and who's going to buy that with the question marks over the EoEA And are the Manchester United of Speedway (in the 2nd division) still up for sale?
  10. Riders are on an average for a reason... I've never seen him be anything other than below average... even on his home BV home track
  11. I don't know why they'd want to bring Jye to BP he's never been anything other than forgettable
  12. And air fences are supposed to cost tens of thousands of pounds... I'd get that on eBay tout suite
  13. Aren't you all being a bit previous? Or have Poland announced that their 2 team rule will also apply for next season?
  14. I seem to remember it also impacting Lakeside? Is Rob Godfrey the man to preside over the most track closures in his tenure?
  15. Tell that to the Edinburgh fans who were sat in a Leicester hotel room looking at a perfect evening for speedway earlier this summer
  16. Which makes it all the more mind boggling as to why so many clubs were so eager to cancel matches when it didn't rain! And what do you put the fixture chaos at the end of the 2019 season down to? Or any other season where clubs are running on off nights on sodden wet tracks?
  17. That's just simply wrong about the late start of the season... as you have then gone on to point out in your next sentence. And it wasn't a couple of clubs, it has become widespread throughout the sport and each time a match is cancelled because of THE THREAT of rain it has a knock on effect meaning that the 2 most important matches of the season are now being run in November! It all should have been done and dusted by the end of September, you know it, I know it, everybody except the people running the sport knows it.
  18. Where's the man in charge of this clusterf@#k of a season gone to? Sat in a caravan somewhere in Lincolnshire devising a 5 year plan to make sure it never happens again
  19. The final at Glasgow in 2019 was on a Tuesday night! A night generally recognised in the entertainment industry as being a real crowd puller, especially for travelling support I think you'll find that the fans are at the very bottom of the list of concerns of speedway promotions... if they even make the list at all. Why are teams running on "off" race nights in October? Poole's Wednesday night had supposed to be sacrosanct, so much so they've moved leagues to accommodate it... yet it's all gone out of the window for their biggest match of the season, smh Didn't somebody share the KoC in the 80's? Cov, Oxford or CH?
  20. Perhaps you weren't "nuts" like us Coventry fans
  21. Has anybody else listened to Nigel Pearson's review of the season on this week's British Speedway podcast? It's quite comical! Treat yourselves
