  1. Yeah he was pretty good, it was just his 3rd time on the 500cc bike.
  2. Have seen Nikolaj in Eskilstuna two times I almost fell in love in his neat tidy racing style, definitive one for the future, think he will go in as reserv with Smederna later in the season. Must mention dane Peter Juul to, he was also at Eskilstuna twice last year and impressed to at the tender age of 15, belive he is 16 now. Peter is riding for Bysarna in Sweden in 2006.
  3. Have a look here: http://www.albumsnaps.com/?c=folders&fID=10956 From Eskilstuna today with Freddie Lindgren and his little brother Ludde Lindgren and a few others.
  4. Yes Iam aware of that, but it is good attendances anyway! As i said I would love to have 10,000+ crowds in the Swedish elite league!
  5. Have searched for attendance figures from yesterdays premiere in Poland and this is what i found. Extraliga Unia Lezno - Unia Tarnow: 19,000 Wroclaw - Bydgoszcz: 12,000 Stal Rzeszow - Czestochwa: 12,000 1 Liga Tz Lublin - Ksz Krosno: 5,500 Zielona Gora - Grudziadz: 10,000 Gniezno - Gorzow: 8,000 2 Liga Opole - Poznan: 4,000 Gdansk - Polonia Pila: 6,000 I wonder if this attendances are good in Poland for the first matches? Would love to have 19,000 here in Eskilstuna at a meeting!
  6. Mateusz or anyone else from Poland can you help med with this: Were can I find the attendances from every match? and where can I find photos from meetings in Poland. Iknow of a few as; [seba, Prezglad Zuzlowy, Sportowefakty], but I thought if you know more places to find new pictures on?? Thanks in advance! Mikael
  7. Thanks alot Sub! Some intresting results so far.
  8. What a wonderful day! The polish leagues starts with plenty of Swedes. May nobody get injured and do good!
  9. A few pics from Gröndal, Eskilstuna Sweden can you see here: http://www.albumsnaps.com/?c=folders&fID=10910
  10. On paper Holsted looks pretty decent
  11. The first meeting for Bajen home against Piraterna shall draw a pretty decent crowd, 4000-5000? It depends on how Bajen Speedway are marketing themselfs. I know that where will be a pretty big add in either EXPRESSEN or AFTONBLADET papers every tuesday with all elite meetings that day. The mentioned papers are the biggest in Sweden and of course adds in every clubs localpaper to as usual.
  12. Bajens budget? No idea. But have heard that things arent really right there, time will tell if it is true. I dont think Bajen will be any powerhouse, they'll just got Nicki Pedersen as a real pointscorer. I do hope Bajen is here to stay as it is a big city team and they have a well known name Bajen! Bajen is dragging out the media to Stockholm which is much needed for them and Speedway in general here in Sweden. I wrote all teams (Elitserien, Allsvenskan and Division 1) lineups here last year but it is gone, sadly. But you got this page: http://www.speedway.nu/2006/snitt.htm Just click on respective team to see which riders that are in the team.
  13. On tuesday may 2 will the Swedish elite league get underway. As usual you can follow it online at http://www.speedway.nu Complete racecalender here: http://www.speedway.nu/2006/Kalender.asp?elit Contenders for the league are: VMS Elit who got a real powerhouse to team ( Lee Richardson, Jarek Hampel, Rune Holta and on a few occasions Jason Crump will be in to, then they got David Ruud, Peter Ljung + upcoming youngsters. My prediction is like this: 1. VMS Elit 2. Luxo Stars 3. Västervik 4. Piraterna 5. Masarna 6. Smederna 7. Bajen 8. Indianerna 9. Vargarna 10. Rospiggarna
  14. Swedish Iceracing final - Sm Final Result Held in Uppsala at Studenternas IP 25 march Attendance: 6888 Posa took his 17th Sm gold!! 1. Stefan Svensson (23333) 14 2. Posa Serenius (33323) 14 3. Ulf Engenström (32233) 13 ------------------------------------------- 4. Torleif Burman (32332) 13 5. P-A. Lindström (23122) 10 6. Hans Tjärnberg (22221) 9 7. 15. What I know so is this all sorted now. I was one of three who gave peoples their sgpwrist bands ( and there was some people who was on the list that I wondered why they got the bands as they just picked up the band and headed to public area and was a part of the crowd). But I hope and have heard that it will be better this year on that front. Its a shame that members of Smederna not to come and help before the GP as it was lots and lots of things to do. But they'll come when the meeting are and going in the pits area and catch some sun, thats makes me angry, as often it is the same persons that are intrested in free tickets and complaining about various stuff, but themselfs arent doing a thing. .
  16. Sadly True. So for Smedernas sake I hope that the Gps ( Smederna has contract for two more Gps 2006 and 2007) will be a good advert for Speedway and BSI, and that the crowds are flocking in.
  17. Bernt is living 5 minutes from me by foot.
  18. In a few years time Västervik will be on the bottom of the eliteleague - it isnt smart to just go with import riders ( the riders they have dosent get younger precisly), you must have own youngsters up and coming as Västervik hasnt that really. The public wants to see Swedish riders, not imports ( not to many of them) 2 foregniers is ok, not more. Yeah the indoor arena sounded good, but it will never ever be a reality just daydreaming from Bajen. Piraterna from Motala had the same dream, but I cant see it happen there either. I think Sam is in love with Sweden =), seriously so are the fences generally better here than say in th UK - but they can be better, much better.
  19. As for Västervik they was very near bankruptcy, but a local councilman saved them. He and Västervik Speedway wrote a letter and handed out to companys in the Västervik area which did get a tremondous reception and they staged a meet with potentinal new sponsors which went good. The Västervik council and sponsors payed out lots of money to Västervik Speedway and they are now not in any debt at all. Västerviks do also has a new chairmanboard, so things are looking good for Västervik at the moment. The only teams that are on the + side is as far as I know VMS Elit and Luxo Stars.
