If speedway was afforded the same luxuries as football maybe the promoters could afford to lower prices , sturggling football clubs get tax breaks , govenrment and local council handouts , you only have to look at Coventry city ,£30.000.000 in debts written off by the council and the taxman to get them to come back from self imposed exile in Northampton . so no problem keeping their prices low

That is ecxactly what happened at milton keynes , the council were at a meeting with noise meters and it got rained off before an engine even started , they then saw the complaints as a vendetta aginst the speedway and granted 25 years PP . sadly Milton Keynes was then effectively closed down by the BSPA

Of course the he thinks the majority still back him ,because the only ones he's spoken to are the sycofants who wouldn't dream of telling him the truth .

I live in between leicester and coventry . 12 miles to brandon 12 miles to leicester about 15 minutes down or up the M69 for either .

Good that Gordon and Morton are making sure it's 100% right before they sign it off . I would rahter see them lose a bit of dosah in revenue and hopefully get it back longterm , than give it the circus at rugby to divvy up between themselves while they sit laughing at the struggle to get a flagship stadium up and running .

I think the subsequent meetings may have been called off for legal reasons . If you buy a car sold as seen ,you accept responsibilty if it doesnt work the next day . If you accept a speedway track ( By running a Meeting on it ) same thing would apply , the contractors would say well you used it so it must be fit for purpose . and with the schoolkids at rugby handing out fines for late abandonment . Belle vue management probably daren't risk another late calloff
