The Cradley team of 83 was by far the best team i have seen but didnt they make heavy finacial loses cos people stayed away ?. It was just a case how many theywon by not if they were gonna win or not. BORING
Belle Vue was the best track ever and the only one that comes close now is Sheffield or KL. I used to enjoy Halifax and Birmingham though. As for Coventry it must have took me 5 matches before i seen a passing manouvre. Cradley, great sarnies and a decent pits bend which was the only place you could pass.

Get this lot on a 2 valve on a old track (BV) with deep shale on it (memories) and your modern rider would not come close. Skill rather than speed would be needed. Todays rider just needs a fast bike and a quick clutch hand. :-(
