  1. Good idea Hev, think I'll come too! Prague that is and I'll be at Cardiff as usual.
  2. It's a wonder that no one has ever tried to revive the sport in Cardiff with such a huge population base and a history of having a team before. It would be nice for Newport to have a local derby with someone other than Somerset or even now Birmingham, who are quite a long distance from us.
  3. Craigs sister has stated that Wato will not be riding in Australia this winter, however he will be attending Ashleys meeting.
  4. Deserting us then are you Shawn? Get down to watch the Waspies!
  5. Definately, everytime I've spoken to Streety I've come away thinking what a really lovely man. He has so much time for every rider - sometimes too much for away riders telling them how to ride the track - and it's amazing his work rate on a Sunday afternoon at Newport the man is a Legend.
  6. Steve Gresham would be an interesting character to be interviewed along with Neil Street he'd have so much to say and many an interesting story to tell.
  7. Thats it join in the spirit of things, how many of us will care anyway we'll either still be in the bars or half cut anyway! "Turn around bright eyes"
  8. Does anyone know if Jason Crump will be doing a book signing at the Cardiff Grand Prix on Saturday?
  9. Good to see and interview with my childhood favourite rider Phil Herne. Always seems lots of coverage of the old Newport team from Somerton Park in varying articles. Quite a few mentions of Neil Street once again, he seems to of been a great mentor for many years to lots of riders particularly his grandson Jason Crump. Maybe it's time for an interview with Streetie himself, although I could imagine it would be a very long read! Well done Backtrack always an enjoyable read.
  10. Well done to Wato, showing his true form after his injury - a great relief.
  11. Couldnt this meeting of been run after the meeting being held at Newport next Sunday or before?
  12. Doesn't give the Academy Final much credit when its run as a side show to Brighton, it should be held on a proper speedway track. The racing at Brighton will have nothing to do with the way the young lads race at present. Makes a mockery of all the hard work the teams have put in.
  13. The English FA have reserved the Millennium Stadium just in case the New Wembley is not ready. I would assume that the rugby league may have taken the same action.
  14. I heard that the dane had retired for a few years but is making a comeback and had a practise around Newport Sunday. As far as the Newport fans are concerned, if he can breathe and ride a bike then sign him.
  15. Good point Pinny, don't the Danes allow their riders an extra day after international duty? Oh great that'll be R/R and two guests?
  16. Nice of them to let Craig know that he's not doing it, and since he's been preparing for the last few weeks too. Very professional.
  17. It was announced at Newport last Sunday (12th) that their Grand Prix ticket allocation would be available at the track yesterday (17th). So should be releasing the tickets very soon I would imagine!
  18. I'm sure I read in our local paper a few months back that Newport are intending to put on a short track meeting sometime next season if anyone is interested. I've never heard of it before and I'm sure it will be interesting viewing on the tight Newport track.
