  1. And unoffcial version (not aproved by PZM) should be released this Friday.
  2. No informal agreement but maybe they'll make a formal agreement that a club can only sign 2 GP riders. Polish riders (Gollob, PePe and Hampel) are of course included. That's what I've read on local newspapers.
  3. Rzeszow have signed Nicki Pedersen. I thought it was Wroclaw who were gonna take him.
  4. You always get Jacek as an addition to Tomek... And their controversial father (saying politely) won't allow any team to exclude Jacek from the line-up. Anyway, I knew that finishing with the foreigners limit would make a revolution in Polish league speedway and here we may have a first storm. Looking at the future with excitment and curiosity but I am afraid when I see this:
  5. Maybe we'll come back to hated in the past KSM (CMA for teams)? As I remember it was about 45 for a team when they lift it (in 2003?). Of course not from the next year but in 2007..? I don't believe in promoters' moderation. If they have big money they'll make dream teams. Having a totally open market where you can sign any one you want the KSM could be an only restriction to prevent us from watching matches where "a dream team" smashes "a less rich team" 70:20...
  6. Yeah or it should have been established before the end of the 2005 season when no one had started building teams for 2006 yet. Now, when some teams like Bydgoszcz or Tarnow have already almost built up their line-ups it's a bit unserious...
  7. Some bosses of speedway clubs who were unsatisfied with the limit of foreigners made a complaint to the Polish Ministry of Sport saying that it's not compatibile with the UE law. The Ministry agreed and today PZMot (Polish Motorcycle Federation) decided that there are no limits for foreigners any more! Sounds like a revolution in Polish league speedway... And it's not only about riders from the UE but all over the world.
  8. Now I can write what had been not for public by yesterday. Walasek had 2 offers at the same financial level - from ZG and Bydgoszcz. The biggest advantage of Bydgoszcz was that it's Ekstraliga but he might not have found so many sponsors here and generally he wanted to settle somewhere for a longer time, not to jump from a club to another every year. ZG are in Division 1 but it's his home so he has finally chosen Zielona. Congrats to Falubaz, hope to see you in Ekstraliga soon... Shame to Bydgoszcz as we are still looking for one strong link to complete our squad. Today GKSZ have decided that nothing's changing and there's still only one foreigner in a match line-up. And still the same - GP riders only for Ekstraliga. No Loramski's come back to Bydgoszcz for next year then We (and similar the other teams) got to choose between exorbitant offers of our Polish "stars". You would be shocked if you knew how much some of them want... This is the main reason which makes today's decision stupid Robert Sawina signed today for 2006 and Polonia Bydgoszcz current line-up is: 1. Jonsson 2. Klecha 3. Sawina 4. ??? 5. PePe 6. Buczkowski 7. Jedrzejewski + 16 y.o. Lopaczewski. Robacki and old Krzyzaniak are given free hand by the management. They can sign with Polonia and then probably expect to be lent. The darkest vision is that unless we succeed in any talks with new potential riders, we will have to put Robacki into the team. Krzyzaniak would like to come back to Torun but the matter is if they would like to get him...
  9. Yeah, but around May when GPs start they are usually already broke
  10. Yup, it's close to Cracow which is a lovely city tho' with no speedway. But forget about Katowice - it's hell.
  11. Or, which would be a better version IMHO, Czestochowa for GP instead of Wroclaw but Wroclaw for SWC finals (race off and final). Wroclaw has the best night life etc. and is probably the best option for a longer stay. There's not much to do in Czestochowa or Bydgoszcz so they would better for one-day tournament - Grand Prix.
  12. Not Karakow but Kraków. In English Cracow.
  13. Sorry but I'm rather not into these things (when it comes to legal matters connected with PZM federation etc) ... But as far as I know clubs can gather youngs who'd like to become speedway riders and then after a restrictive selection the best ones are trained. Firstly on mini-bikes, later on normal ones. However, a clubs don't have to have such "schools". There are also some special speedway schools where mini-speedway tracks are located. Probably the most famous one is in Pawlowice. Hampel, Miskowiak and Bydgoszcz' Klecha started there.
  14. It's ok, Wroclaw is my fav city for speedway trips too. This year's SWC mega trip was outstanding
  15. Well, no surprisingly I think that Bydgoszcz would be a better choice but I agree that Wroclaw has a better night life and more places to go. However, Bydgoszcz advantages are: - Better speedway (in Wroclaw it's usually only gate..) - RyanAir's flight directly to Bydgoszcz from London Stansed - It's close to Torun and not so far away from Gdansk. These both cities are worth seeing, especially Gdansk. And on Sunday after the GP there might be a league match there.
  16. Probably all current trainers used to be riders in the past. Polonia's trainer - Zdzislaw Rutecki - finished his career in the mid 90s. My parents are at his age and they knew him from parties during their school years as they were at the same high school.
  17. Maybe but not at Bydgoszcz as on Sunday the stadium's still held by BSI.
  18. Don't worry about it - there has never been a sellout of tickets. Anyway, if some of you plan to come you can always let me know and I'll buy tickets earlier.
  19. Hmmm... training They mostly work with young riders but also organizes common trainings to practise pair riding etc. Taking an example of Bydgoszcz - such common trainings are done on every Friday but riders like PePe or Jonsson usually don't take part in it as they have their matches in Britain. However, trainings are generally for riders that are not so skilled like they.
  20. Not about speedway but connected with speedway I think. From this Sunday (30th October) RyanAir start with their direct flights between London (Stansed) & Bydgoszcz There is one flight every day - from London @ 10.30 & from Bydgoszcz @ 14.00 - which takes 2 hours 10 minutes. RyanAir - Bydgoszcz Needless to say it's a great opportunity for speedway fans to get to Bydgoszcz easily and cheaply and for Poles to travel to England. I read in local newspapers that all tickets for first flights in coming days are already sold out and this air connection is going to be the most popular from all RyanAir's flights between London and Poland So, for example, if you'd like to watch a league match in Bydgoszcz you can even fly on Sunday as the plane lands in Bydgoszcz at 13.35 local time. No need to hurry as league matches start not earlier than at 16.00, in summer at 18.00 or even 20.00 Then a wild night in Chesterfield and a flight back on Monday at 14.00.
  21. Today I got news that Rafineria Trzebinia are to resign from sponsoring Unia Tarnow. Leliwa, can you confirm it? If so, I think this may cause some transfering storm... Hampel should stay in Wroclaw.
  22. ULTRAS It's a link to a topic on the biggest Polish speedway forum (SportsBoard) where fans put the best pics of shows they make at Polish stadiums Some pics are superb, and good to warm up this cold autumn atmosphere... Pics are directly put on that forum and it all loads at once at the same time so it may take some time to get it downloaded but it's really worth waiting
  23. No news about it yet, though I'd bet on Tarnow or Rybnik or maybe Czestochowa if they renovate their stadium on time.
