TheWellBehavedWorrall
Is the Speedway Star no longer sold at Armadale? I asked the lady behind the counter at the club shop for one and she said they’re not sold there any more.

Answered your own question surely.

Why isn’t it sold any more? Doubt being condescending was necessary here, but I’m beginning to realise it’s common on this forum.

I’m only having a laugh.
Mr Blobby
Max James officially steps down from the monarchs, few too many crashes dented the young lad’s confidence. Think it’s a sensible decision to step away for just now and regroup so to speak as definitely a talented rider in there, all the best Max and hopefully see you back one day. Now the search starts for a new 2.00 rider.

szkocjasid
Interesting ruling over James stepping down "Stellar Monarchs have been granted a facility for 28 days to cover for his absence but will be attempting to fill the vacancy in the team with a full time replacement as soon as possible" Is there any point to Monarchs being given a facility? If they weren't due a facility they'd be allowed a guest up to 75% of his average but as he's on the minimum 2.00 average, they'd still be allowed a 2.00 guest. If he's withholding his services I guess that means he can't ride NL/NT at the moment? Not sure if he plans to carry on with development league racing, whilst taking a step back from the Champ? Hopefully he'll be back soon, really thought he was promising last season & had the potential to be one of the top 2.00 riders this year. Misses 2 Birmingham Bulls fixture but no Leicester Cubs matches. Bright young talent and hope he comes back stronger, theres a huge weight of expectation placed upon riders and often earlier than they are ready for it.

He got pushed down the order when they took Ritchings on despite being led to believe the spot was his! He has guested for Redcar in Championship and scored 5 at Sunthorpe which was 5 more than the Clubs actual Reserve Spencer. Ashton Vale could do a job as could Sonny Springer if they go fown the fresh 2 pointer route Sam McGurk seems the obvious (if numbers fit) choice as currently there in NDL
TheWellBehavedWorrall
Disappointing to learn of Max James’ situation. It’s never nice to hear of a young rider losing his confidence. If the Edinburgh management can get a tune out of whoever replaces him, I’d have the Monarchs nailed on for a play-off spot. Edinburgh might struggle away from home if Thomson does pick up his form.Paco can be very hit or miss away.
