Yet another example of a club ‘doing its bit for British Speedway ’ by bringing in yet another Australian.

Correct has British passport. Works out for the club with Kyran being injured for him to come in to the NDL as well. Not many British youngsters left in the sport now Steve, and this is just one of the many reasons.

If you knew the amount of British youngsters that were contacted and rejected the spot then you might have a different opinion. Only reason Jordy is over for half a season instead of waiting till next season is because he become pretty much the only option.

Obviously cheap to bring someone half way around the world to take a place , guarantee him a living wage , accommodation etc and he goes into a NDL spot, its not like you haven't done it before. Jordy was supposed to be coming over next year things have been fast tracked due to almost 10 riders being asked regarding a championship spot. All rejected for one reason or another. With Kyran being out long term slotting into the NDL worked well for all parties also, plus again a few riders asked and rejected the spot before the idea was put forward to team Loftus. Not going to name and shame boys as it’s not my place to do so but if you think we’ve bypassed options already here then you’re miles off the mark. Even if the new signing decides he is Australian & not British, Edinburgh are still doing more for British riders development than any club who didn't enter the NL/NT. Plus last year they held a NDL series individual when they didn't have to.
