Pretty straightforward really. Also, what's point in having a strong reserve and not using him 🤷🏼♂️ Whole point of these two matches is to get track time will be surprised if they give Victor 6/7 rides. As much as the fans care about the result the riders not so much as it’s about getting ready for the real stuff in a couple of weeks.
snapper
The days of plenty of Monarchs fans travelling to Ashfield have now gone the fourth bend is much quieter than it used to be for these matches

You’re definitely trying to reassure yourself in advance of a pumping.😂 28 minutes ago, snapper said: The days of plenty of Monarchs fans travelling to Ashfield have now gone the fourth bend is much quieter than it used to be for these matches Really? I only returned to Ashfield a couple of seasons ago, but remember the days Edinburgh fans would fill that fourth bend enclosure and to be fair to them, create a great atmosphere. I at Armadale last season and we (Glasgow) took a fair crowd on the third bend hill.

No need to reassure I don’t think we’ll win, Glasgow have more than enough firepower to get the job done, would be a surprise if they didn’t.

You never know. Stranger things have happened, but let’s hope is an entertaining meeting to kick start the season.

Maybe my previous prediction was based more on hope as I'd love the Monarchs to win this one. They’re definitely capable of it. Castagna (14 from 5) was unbelievable in the May fixture I attended at Armadale last season and in four rides, the only points Sedgmen (8+1 from 4) dropped to a Glasgow rider were due to a retirement. Add the fact that if ever there’s a track Harris is most vulnerable, it’s Armadale, then anything could happen tomorrow night. This has all the makings of a great meeting. Pinny
Has to be the worst line up I have seen Edinburgh start the season with in at least 25 years. Can see Glasgow winning this by 20 points despite how weak their reserves look.

Justin Sedgmen and Paco Castanga as the spear head? Come on lol. Your deluded if you think Edinburgh have started a Premier League season with a team weaker than that. Plenty of improvement in Victor who will be starting at reserve he’s a 7 point rider in this league and so is Oskar if he adapts well over here. Grahn should be good for his starting average and once at reserve will probably become one of the strongest in the league imo. So not as awful as you may think. I think people would agree Edinburgh don't have a strong spearhead, but that's not what will make the team successful. If the new / returning riders can adapt to Britain, that's what could help them win meetings.

Possibly the teams where Monarchs had a number one on an assessed average they couldn't get near to (Nermark, Moller & Correy) but it's far too early to say if this is the weakest team as the "unknowns" could become good. Mr Blobby
R/R for Oskar tomorrow, polish club won’t release him from an event they have tomorrow night to ride and with it not registering as an official fixture so to speak they are pulling rank so to speak.
