Team built to win at home and lose away. I hope Redcar had a good crowd to help cover the cost of having very weak opposition. Pickering 16, the same as SIX other riders. Shameful.

Yep we need heat leaders not reserves masquerading as heatleaders, ah that’s right we used our points up to get the first outright number 1 for years , back up is not there with current set up but Harrison will come good by years end

He needs to. 3rd year at this level now scoring 3 points away isn't good enough. Mountain doesn't improve away either.

Less said about the trump card at reserve too. Flash in the pan last week riding for Newcastle?

Pulled a win out in his 3rd ride and looked neat and tidy. 3 lasts in his other rides, No2 is a tough position though.

Scunny team is a bit unbalanced at the minute in that they only have 1 strong heat leader at 1 and 5 and on last nights showing the important 3 and 4 pairing wasn't strong enough away from the EWR. 

After getting 10 heats in by 8:15pm we got an electrical delay and on a very  cold evening should maybe have gone to green flag starts sooner. After not grading during the delay we got 2 heats in after the resumption of racing and then had a grading break. Scunny using a tac sub added to the overall meeting duration with Pickering having 3 rides on the trot in 11, 12 & 13 which may have prompted the grading break before 13. Think the meeting finished around 21:50 so the last 5 heats took about 95 minutes by which time I was pretty darn cold.

Roy Clarke intimated rabbits may have been responsible for the electrical problem which prompted a picture in my mind of the Ware Rabbit running round the ECCO Arena.

Always evident that this team was set up  to accomodate JP. Change is coming down the line. For me Drew Kemp is a shoe in by May when JPs average adjusts. That would neccesitate two changes. Going to be a "one man band" for a month or so with JP running six rides every meeting until the cavalry arrive.

Sooner than I thought then. Usually I'm not for change I do believe in sticking by the team and see where it goes ? The season has not really started. But I think the team was set up for change sooner rather than later. Nows the time when you should be setting the stall out and supporters "buying into the team". On the evidence of last night Picko needs more back-up.
