Technik
I wonder if many of the racers in this event are considering not making the trip to Argentina as they have little chance to be champion. These guys are all self funded even the teams such as Ducati & Triumph & there is no funding or support from the organizers with a maximum of 26 points available in each event many may look at this trip as folly.
Bavarian
Yes, indeed, it will be interesting to see how many and who of the riders goes over to Argentina for the last two rounds. How does the FIM make this series pay? There are next to no spectators!
Technik
There was a good size crowd in Pardubice, but I sense this was only because it was part of the Golden Helmet weekend. This is a different format & it will take time for regular speedway followers to adjust. The big issue is the racers are unknown to speedway & come from the lower end of their own discipline. But the sport of Flat Track is growing.

However the next day when we had the flat track meeting there was one man and his dog watching! It can be great to watch, at it's best just as exciting as a good Speedway meeting not sure why the crowds don't go but it does attract quite a lot of media coverage. When it was regularly on Men and Motors one season it drew a good number of new riders in. Then again I wouldn't go to my living room window to watch banger racing but that draws good crowds so what the public like is yet another thing I'm no judge of. I agree it can be as good as any speedway meeting but the hurdle to get over is that most speedway followers prefer team racing and hence few tracks now host individual meetings. It is competitive sport and really would be good if tracks held shared events with speedway and flat track on the billing. One other thought, how about flat track riders getting together to form teams and compete in say 4TT in addition to the individual meetings. It also lends itself well to indoor meetings, many many years back an indoor meeting was held in Braintree and the racing was great.

I imagine the difficulty with indoor meetings is finding a venue, after Braintree they did run a couple at an equestrian place up near Chris Walkers but as far as I know none since. The 4TT is a good idea, don't know if anybody has done team racing but would be interesting to see how it was received.

Despite being disqualified in the final, Britain’s Tim Neave becomes World Flat Track champion, riding for VXR Racing, the team owned by speedway’s GB Team organisers Vicky Blackwell and Rob Painter. Runner up was another Brit, Jack Bell. Good to hear the British national anthem played in Argentina
