    Iow V Cradley 21.9.17

If the original meeting had been allowed 5 more heats the result would have been different, but wait, the islanders were not at full strength and the heathens were
  2. Riders in the mdl unless they have their own policy are not insured

    Coventry 2013

771Neil maybe you are right about his age being a factor but there are older riders in the MDL being given a go and riders who have been riding since they were very young with a lot of riding experience yet I know conor has beaten all the riders in the MDL bar 1 I think and there have been a few NL reservses in the MDL, and on his NL outings for Scunthorpe last year scored paid 7 and paid 6 and didn't disgrace himself in a tough test at mildenhall this year. I think he would benefit from a season in a team. Not sure how the kids get into teams some seem to make it even though they are not on the pace of others.

    Coventry 2013

Conor was told he had a place at Scunthorpe for last season after his run outs for them against hackney and newport both away only to be told in January he wasn't? so was too late to go for trials at others tracks. rode in the stoke open meeting and in his opening ride was overtaking a rider when the rider slid off Conor lay his bike down slid into the air fence and severely sprained his ankle. the next time he was due to have trials he was riding at rye the night before the trial and was comfortably leading his second ride when on a 5-1 when his team mate t-boned him on the last bend and he dislocated his thumb. had a run out for Dudley at mildenhall in August and was knocked off whilst leading his first ride and excluded?? was level into the first bend in his next 2 rides against the some very good riders so gained some very good experience and then broke his arm in his first ride at the u19's on an absolutely shocking track at Sheffield. so he has been riding well enough to get noticed but has been in the wars all no fault of his own

    Stoke 2012

Conor went to hospital with a suspected broken ankle but x rays revealed no breaks just severe sprain
  10. Hi MikeIs the practice still on for tomorrow 23rd May?
  11. This was indeed the last round and the Champion in the 500 class is Ashley Morris from Birmingham who is without doubt a great prospect he has ridden well in all the rounds and deserves the victory Well Done Ash
  12. looking at the turnout for Weymouth 500's. 9 entries and as I wasn't there 2 non starters included? could there be room for some others who just missed the cut because of their age, but need the experience, there must be some kids out there who would love a spin and try and get themselves noticed.would raising it 1 year to u16's be too much to ask as they are still kids. surely the fans want to see 4 riders in a race. also I understand the current climate might have an effect on some but surely missing one practise session to go to the british u 15's would be better No mention of the winner?? sounds familiar
  13. I did mean what p'boro lad said, if you look at all the lads who have competed in the u15's and then add Adam, Tom Stokes, Matty Allitt and may be one or two more that would be more than the required 14
  14. may be if there were enough takers, what about the possibility of running two 7 man team matches 250 & 500 in one day, numbers, weather and track availability, obviously. just an idea.
  15. Having seen most of these lads ride this season I am not surprised by some of the comments seen here they all have a future in the sport and are a credit to their families who must be very proud. Well done to Rich, Well done Marc making the move from 250 to 500, Well done to Ash very positive coming back from your injuries..... it would be too long so well done to them all I would like to say to the organisers that whilst it is good that there were some after meeting races for the grasstrack lads on 250's trying to encourage them into speedway, but, 'please do not forget' that there are 14 equally committed and capable young lads who are already riding speedway and competing in the British under 15 250cc championships who would love a chance at a meeting like this. Well done to everyone involved.
