Smart move getting DH in as team manager, knows the club inside out and always had strong relationship with the promotion at Scunny
Great start for 2024
-
A bit if deserved silverware for Scunthorpe after a fine season,,hell of a performance from Lambert and not to mention Mountains effort, vital point from him
Fair play to Poole on yet another final, they are the team to beat constantly and deserve credit for that,
Lastly ,a good effort from the track guys down there to get the meeting on and a raceable surface

Tractors did their 26 laps up to heat 13, spoiling the flow of the meeting as usual at the STMP. Well done Scorpions you did us proud, just the Pirates left to beat to finish the season off in style- A big ask but who knows over 30 heats?
that is so true, tractors seem to be out to much, and im not convinced they actually did any good with the track as it was last night, saying that a night at Redcar is always a decent one, stadium and track are tip top
Looking forward to a few trips up there again next year already
Great performance by Scunny on the night

Bears started well and kept it close for a while but the Scorpions pulled away. Most of the Bears battled well, including Flint.
Some cracking racing from both teams.
Unless Bears get a decent guest for the second leg the Scorpions should be favourites for that meeting too and should progress to the final easily.
The score looks a bit unfair actually, Redcar were better value than the score shows

on seeing the replay on the BSN stream i thought that could/should have been the outcome
watching live it looked like classic all four back to be fair

It he turns out as good as many expect then he could leave GB like Lambert / Woffinden, so that money has maybe bought them a league title (is it worth it?) Or if they are lucky, he'll be like Bewley & stay here, but Oxford would need to be in the top league to benefit from it.
as far as im aware Oxford do run an NL team
If Oxford have that money then what the problem, its their money to spend on what ever and who ever they want
just like my Neighbour buying a Bentley and a 10k boob job for his wife, his cash his choice

why foolish? id say great to see a club investing in the future
hope the kid hits the ground running too,,,Well done Oxford!

Sadly all the old values in this country were virtually eradicated during the Thatcher years along with the current despicable cronies who have wrecked this country..
Whatever happened to empathy, integrity and respect eh.
apart from the fact that those asking for refunds are probably leftwing work shy shiftless keyboard flicking types!

A really good meeting last night, fair play to Birmingham, they had a good go, made a good fight of it
Impressed with Nathan Ablitt and Sam Hagon
enjoying the " how many folk can you get in a pick-up truck " on the winners parade to, last night must be the record
-
should be a good fixture this, really looking forward to both meetings,
I like it that it is one meeting straight after the other to decide who goes through, well done to both promotions for getting it arranged like this
just need weather to behave itself now
-
Is this meeting streamed or the internet still not reached such northern outposts?

Is it on like that Red button on eurosport?

I normally watch the GP on Eurosport via my sky package, but it's not showing ?.does that mean it's not on those channels?

when i saw it live i thought that Vissing would be excluded for that , but after the replays he was unlucky to have the decision go against him
Well Done Glasgow

Brilliant performance by the Devils last night, never looked like being beaten from heat one,
wishing Gilkes a problem free recovery,he was fabulous last night
For Scunny ,Lambert,Palin and Kinsley were poor, whatever engine Palin was on it needs to go in the bin as was quite obvious no speed in the engine
Well done Plymouth

Ronnie has been the best visiting rider ive seen the Scunny for the past couple of years, quite brilliant to watch

But one of the 4 is a world cup winner2021
hell of a move by the Chairman to wangle the averages to slip Lambert in the 1-7, the other clubs will go in to meltdown ,a ``Ruthless`` move

35 minutes ago, OldtimerRay said:From what I have heard on the grapevine and I could be wrong (er indoors always says I am ) Ryan Douglas is not a great fan ,perhaps why he never came back to Scunny after his year out, of Josh Auty so it is either one or the other
riders should be chosen on ability, average and budget, not who likes who!

14 minutes ago, phillipsr said:Josh isnt any better than Tero at Scunny if the aim is home wins… id go all out for Crump on averages around that
averages dont lie that is true, but for entertainment Auty hands down gets the nod
plus you know on a Friday night Josh turns up,with Tero, for various reasons you never know

does a track side test know if its Columbian marching powder or say Lemsip or does it need a more advance secondary test?
