  3. Jason Attwood has tendered his resignation and Glyn Taylor takes charge of the team.Unbelievable is the only word I can think of must be the DH factor in Jason citing a lack of support.

  10. Cannot really understand why people have a dig at Lasse as according to the averages up to last week he was averaging nearly 8. .And as to bad results lets face it if you are not at the front from lap 1 bend 2 you have'nt got much hope and Lasse is a racer not a gater.
  11. That is an absolute cracker still smiling when I read it over and over.
  12. So who 's fault do you think its is The riders ? Trackstaff ? Gateman ? No the clue is in that Jason cited "lack of support within the club" so you have no option than to look at the people who are running the club. PS Best of luck Glyn

    Leicester Track Debate

According to Glyn the total cost for the two ends to be done would be £6000.Problem for Mr Hemsley is that if it carry's on as is he is going to lose that amount and more in gate takings. LionsDen rightly pointed out that the track was the one thing that had to be got right and it was'nt.My daughter said the cake looks very nice but the filling is rubbish.(or words to that effect)
  14. Not holding my breath imo the straights are to long for racing
  15. I have indeed .A star in the making.Had a real good year at Peterborough last year
  16. The much awaited Magnus Karlsson Testimonial Meeting, which will launch the new season at the Beaumont Park Stadium, is quickly building into a unique occasion. Last week Peter and Mikael confirmed their availability to race in the meeting to honour their younger sibling’s ten years’ service to British Speedway and now the line-up is further enhanced with the news that the Bjerre brothers, Kenneth and Lasse, have both accepted an invite to race. Their inclusion will add another dimension to a meeting that is growing in stature week by week as Kenneth is in the top echelon of the very best riders in the world. A regular competitor in the Speedway Grand Prix series since 2004, Kenneth finished seventh overall in last season’s competition.
  17. Magnus Karlsson’s testimonial meeting at the Beaumont Park Stadium on 17th March would not be complete without his two older brothers, Peter and Mikael who will be there to celebrate the occasion.

  21. It has just been announced that Leicester will host the re-staging of the Premier League Fours Final on Sunday 23rd October and organisers have extended the meeting to a 20-heat programme. The event was abandoned due to rain in early August after the semi-final stage and the Final is now to take place as a stand-alone competition with a 5.00pm start at Beaumont Park. The four qualifying clubs hosts Leicester, Ipswich, Somerset and Workington will be free to select their own preferred line-ups for the meeting irrespective of their team averages at the time. Admission prices have been set at the level of regular Premier League meetings at Leicester – £15 adults, £13 concessions, £5 for children aged 12-16, and under-12s will be free of charge. Holders of re-admission adult and concession tickets from the abandoned Final will be entitled to a £5 discount on those prices. SpeedwayGB Events co-ordinator David Hoggart said: “We’ve taken the decision to add extra value to the event with running it as a one-off by extending it from sixteen to twenty races. “It’s also a test run in some ways to assess the format with a view to looking at the possibility of re-introducing qualifying meetings in the future. “I would stress that we would need to hold detailed discussions on that, but the ideal scenario would be to open up the Fours competition to allow every club to have the opportunity of reaching the Final.” Taken from Lions website
