ARRIVED in Auckland late on Sunday afternoon ... sure New Zealand is getting further away from the UK! Long, tedious trip and landed on a wet, grey afternoon. Spoke to Ole Olsen in the hotel lobby ... says he is very happy with the track and that the rain today and tomorrow will be good for it. Forecast for the latter part of the week looks okay. Riders and mechanics leave Heathrow on Sunday evening travelling to Auckland via Hong Kong. Greg Hancock coming in from LA tomorrow. Holder and Ward from Australia.

KELVIN and Nigel will not be covering the NZ GP... Steve Johnson and another Aussie, Wayne (sorry, cannot remember hjis surname) will be at Western Springs providing the world feed commentary as they did last year. Subject to Sky not objecting, Kelvin and Nigel will then take over and be at the European rounds. It will take a little time for Eurosport to get fully up to speed and to have a studio presentation but that will not include Keith Huewen.

NO Brando is TV floor manager but will do most of the interviews this year

HAVE posted here a million (well, almost) times that Sky were only involved in the production, apart from their own studio chat, at Cardiff and King's Lynn. Otherwise they took the same feed as all the other countries, which is exactly what Eurosport will get and use. SORRY Humphrey, didn't read your post properly. Apologies. You are right, Sky have to provide the pictures at EL meetings, which I believe cost over £50,000 a meeting. No wonder they don't like rain-offs ... but that happens at cricket as well.
