My instant thought is that Poole have picked us knowing we are going for RR. Let's hope that the Management are indeed exploring all options for a replacement, because we definetpy need it now.

Realistically Neil will not answer why give out information to your opponents. All he can say is "they are exploring every option available'

Coventry V Swindon - Wednesday 2nd September
Sir Jasper replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Got to say for the whinging people do about Garrity he was also very chuffed for Lewis Rose and was captured congratulating him heartily by the camera's. An enjoyable meeting, I presume Poole will pick Belle Vue (unless we go ahead with RR) so the semis will be keenly thought and hard to pick an overall winner. -
King's Lynn V Coventry Wed 19th August

Fans getting abusive and riders responding has always happened... Dont see the issue. If you give it out, take it back. For instance, I have seen Rory ( as a Coventry rider) get lots of stick from opposing fans and then give it back. -
I recall Martin Hagon running one in the 80's. I think Hans was the first top rider to switch.

Darcy Ward: Who said I would ride in British speedway this year? In an interview with the Daily Echo last month, Ford said: “Darcy is always going to be important to this club and if he doesn’t get in here, we’ll do our utmost to make sure he fits in somewhere else because we want him riding.” Well that clears that one up...

If the idea of this is to improve our young Brits then that makes sense., Also allows for a new draft of riders to come in. hey presto 3 Brits in the team at least.

I remember the last time Edward had a decent increase on his average... -
Coventry Stadium - The Promotion Men Vs Boys !

I agree wholeheartedly with Jeremy in that riders should be contracted to clubs for longer a season, its the only way people will once again become affiliated with their clubs. -
Coventry Bees V Wolves Friday 27th March
Sir Jasper replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Bees to win. -
Very good signing. Well done Bees.
-
Would have preferred Kylmakorpi, thought his signing would cement us as a favourite for the league. Jamrog is a bit of an unknown, so I am uncertain as to how he will go this season.

Elite League In-meeting Remedial Track Work.. What Do The Riders Really Want/not Want?
Sir Jasper replied to Shale Searcher's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Woo hoo Terry is back at Brandon. -
Very good news for the track. Welcome back Terry.
-
Pretty poor statement on Pooles behalf, no need to mention the delays etc... Just accept the ban and state you are looking forward to starting the season. Perhaps even a word which states you dont condone the actions of the banned rider.
-
Why has he done that?
-
Joonas and Neil Watson have some history don't they, would he ride for him again?
-
I just hope Lakeside keep a keen eye on Edwards silencer this year.
-
I suggested Kylmakorpi before we signed Woodward, however Neil Watson was involved at Pboro when he left there mid season to join the bees, so perhaps thats a no go if there is bad blood. Mads is always decent value at brandon and is obviously a good guy to have in the pits.

Elite League In-meeting Remedial Track Work.. What Do The Riders Really Want/not Want?
Sir Jasper replied to Shale Searcher's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That was my first thought also. A knowledgable trackman is worth their weight in gold, but like others have said its very subjective, eg Colin Meredith is obviously very knowledgable about tracks but for me his tracks always seem to be very slick, I preferred the track at Brandon when it was done by FTM as it seemed to have some dirt on it and also produced very fast times, and also after he was replaced by Terry something or other. I think it also helps if a trackman has extensive knowledge of a circuit, eg if the Brandon track is in need of water late afternoon, there is a danger that it might not dry out in time if the Sun dips behind the tree's over the 3rd and 4th bend, this has been an issue when Sky are in town. Last season at Brandon showed perfectly what damage can be done by a bad trackman or an inexperienced one. Who was responsible for the track later in the year and who is doing it this year? -
Tell you what, contact the family on Twitter, ask them if they have a problem about it before getting all huffy on their behalf.
-
I always thought it was the riders who got them made, hence when they use different suppliers we get different shades of colours.
-
High hopes for Sarge this year, and beating a GP superatar can only add to his confidence.
-
Can Summers double up? As for Hans, happy with that, he and Bomber proved a dcent partnership, the play off / holiday clash drama obviously didnt helpbut I do suppose the trip was booked way before the play offs and the season over ran.

Zagar is at Belle Vue.
