If you look up Cardiff map city centre, it will show you.The cricket ground is the SWALEC stadium about one mile north of the Millennium Stadium. I believe there is a park and ride but do not know the cost or the park and ride location -

Which Gp To Go To?
A ORLOV replied to thomasthedog's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Totally agree with 21st century heathen the city of Prague is brilliant, especially the castle, the parks, and along the riverside. Lots to do and very cheap travel if you decide to visit a few places just outside the city. Do not know about activites etc for youngsters but a good guide book will advise. If your children are very young or a bit picky you need to check out the food for youngsters, and even take your own as you seem to want to stay for a few days. Hope this helps. -

You want to do what I am going to check out, see if the cricket is on the radio, watch it till 4, go to the pub then speedway. Turn up the volume to max on the radio headphones and listen to it while watching the speedway. At the same time record the cricket, if on, and the speedway to watch any bits I miss. Hopefully best of both worlds -

I love watching the sidecar racing at speedway but do wonder if it will come back because of the wonderful noise these 1000cc machines make. We now have to put up with four bikes on the track sounding like bees. Many years ago after a meeting with mad aussies on the track, I spoke to one of the riders and mentioned that must be great. Two of them offered to take myself and a mate round the track. Having put on helmets and leathers we got on the sidecars and they started off. They told us how to hold on and move over the back wheel at the bends, we wont go too fast they said, Lying B******s. But one of the best experiences of my life. With all the elf and safety brigade these days I doubt if anybody could experience such a thrill. Sorry to go slightly off thread. -

Same here it was an eye opening experience going to a league meeting the next day. We joined the supporters on the train and at the station we ended up at we could not believe what the supporters were met with. Riot police with batons and dogs who escorted the supporters to the stadium and kept them in their own area. We were able to go in a different direction and have a drink etc as upon seeing the police we had taken off our English supporters attire. There was no trouble at the ground but the supporters were kept out of the bars in the town by being escorted both ways. But must agree two meetings in two days made the weekend. -
Good performance by Rohan, will look forward to your visit to Newport.

In English law an agreement between two consenting parties, both of whom are above the legal age, is a contract. The length of the contract is agreed by both parties. If specified by the contract that one party becomes the asset of the other party then it is the case. I do not see that the riding of 4H and 4A meetings has any thing to do with being an asset unless the contract stipulates that those meetings need to be completed before the contract is binding. Is it not the case that the 4H and 4A is what is used to obtain a average? -

I fully understand that, and its great that Red Bull are willing to sponsor youngsters. It is a good amount of money, just a pity its Euros and not Dollars or Sterling. -

Evening BFD what was your opinion of Troy, overtrying or a lot of bad luck. Between now and the next meeting do you get the bus back home or spend time on the Gold Coast surfing? Thanks for the comments on Speedway Updates. Look forward to next Sat. -

BFD Talking of sheep stations, many years ago I saw a programme about a relay race in Australia between two cities or towns. There was a group of people in each team who travelled in a vehicle and each person took it in turns to run a distance. The programme showed the intense training of a few of the teams, running up mountains with heavy loads on their backs and the individuals were testing themselves to the limit. Each of the support vehicles has hi-tech equipment such as heart monitors etc because of the conditions in which the teams were running in. The last team they talked to was a group of shearers. We train very hard they said, and what about the equipment you have in your vehicle asked the interviewer. That is a secret they said we will show you at the start when the vehicle is loaded. The tv crew turned up at the start and spoke to the teams, most of whom were limbering up and taking on fluids for the race. They then spoke to the shearers who were sat under a tree. Where is your support vehicle asked the crew?. Oh it will be here soon its in town getting our supplies. When the vehicle turned up it was full of beer. Dont you want to do well in this race, no was the answer just get pissed. We used to get a few programmes about mad Australian sports but not any more, Anyway have a great time this weekend and , if you are posting an update, will look forward to reading it
