    Where have you heard this?

    Could be 2+2=5

Probably just a reflection of my jaundiced feelings towards the sport at present that the possibility seems a likely prospect

A 7 day suspension and a fine for a genuine travel issue is a tad draconian don't you think....

Given the circumstances that would be harsh, maybe if it happens again a ban would be required.

Given the circumstances of making up that he missed a flight to avoid having to state his Polish club didn't want him to ride in the UK the day before a planned meeting there I'd say 7 days is a let off

That seems bonkers. Losing a rider because of injury or whatever reason should inevitably make your team weaker, that is the reality of it.

Unfortunately they have now created a scenario where not only are you no longer weaker but you are actually far stronger. When riding at home with no logical reason using maths and statistics, you can get a guest with a higher percentage average than the missing rider. We now even have a scenario at Oxford where they’ve sacked and replaced a rider in Klindt, for Riss whilst keeping an injured rider in the side. There is no way that the league should of accepted that redecoration and the use of guests like Nicholls now.

Totally agree - completely ridiculous to be able make this change and still use a guest

It seems to be one step forward and two back in the attempt to get the sport back from the brink when something like this is allowed to happen

Can you take food and drink into the stadium?
Also, are the seats on homestraight unreserved to sit on when you arrive,

looking forward to my first visit tomorrow, hope the forecast doesn’t ruin it.

The Massif did one time manage to get in tables and set up a hot and cold buffet for an end of season "do"

Looking at how all the number 3’s finished last year, Jaimon was the best by over half a point. It’s also true of how they started this year.

Last season he was the only number 3 to have an away average over 7.

Shows what a sham/scam it was for him to return without reassessment... ..

Oxford Spires announced as being on Wednesday 13th of march. Times to be confirmed.

Currently only open to Sponsors and ST holders which is causing some moaning from non ST holders.

There is precious little benefit in having a speedway season ticket in most offerings so Id say good on them for this - a perfect way of offering some extra value for the commitment shown

3 Speedway Premiership clubs got a mention in a question on University Challenge concerning 'East of England clubs in towns/cities'!!

Despite the blank looks of the team they managed to correctly guess Peterborough (Panthers) and Ipswich (Witches} from the clues provided but failed with the Stars (kings Lynn).

Not unusual for the Stars and failure to be linked :D

For those that might be interested there is an interview with Adam Ellis in the star this week a short summary is (edit actually its now last weeks WE 27th jan)

1/ He wasnt surprised to be ditched by Sheffield last season he felt things were going well on the continent but not in the UK for whatever reason. He even contemplated quitting the UK scene and focusing on the Polish league and other stuff.

2/ He suspects his GB call up for the WC was due to him riding in Poland -

3/ He is optimistic for the season ahead and is looking foward to riding for Pila and having Hans Nielsen as his TM. he is also keen to get going back at Ipswich - he also feels riding with Doyley and Emil will benefit him.

    Hans Nielsen?? Pffft!

"We've got super Ritchie Hawkins" :D

To me what's worse is the inconsistency, Pedersen rode on an average that was 12 years old.

Woffinden, Lidsey, Kasprzak & Jakobsen kept the same averages. Janowski's was lowered, but Pawlicki & Milik's were increased.

Disagree there - thats not neccesarily inconsistency

Its about accuracy which coukd be the same , higher or lower

That of course needs ti be a subjective view and not all will agree with the assessment. Thats where consistency becomes the issue - are robust criteria/parameters set and importantly applied in each case?

    Totally agree

I particularly dislike the posts that say someone's team is wrong, but won't say what the correct team is.

So look for the posts where another rider is named and those same people you dislike dont reply......:)

Re Laguta. I think i can safely  that say that after Alex's disagreement with Buster, that he agreed a deal with Alex that he would ride in all meetings. With a concern for Wolves. But he signed for it. and the pairs btw. That was before Alex left..  We know Buster was struggling at mid way through the season, after Alex  and CJ bailed out..

Personally i think  the Laguta deal was re negotiated by Buster and meetings after that... i  believe that  if the money was there, Laguta would be. A deal between Buster and AL..Just my personal opinion, i'll add.. Alex told me he wouldn't of signed him if he couldn't commit to all the meetings........ Believe it if you wish.............

So the problem wasnt Artem being able to commit to all the meetings and more that Alex didnt himself.......
