  1. I’ve just called someone out for engaging you in another thread so I’ll apologise for contradicting myself because that’s rude of me, but this post really amused me. Its all relative, speedway isn’t Polands National sport it’s a sport like it is here but just pays way more than we do. It’s not a rational comparison for you to make. Football drives huge revenue across the world, speedway does not do that, but when it gets close to being relative it will become successful, and Poland is the prime example of that just on a way smaller scale. We could do what Poland do here, if your going to relate it to wages, but without people sitting in the seats to pay it then it ain’t happening. Different social climate in the UK vs Polska. You don’t half chat some rubbish
  2. Yep. It all starts at the bottom, and cash rules the roost. I don’t care what anyone says, money rules and only becomes an issue when you’ve got too much of it. Then greed takes over. It’s the devil and the deep blue sea for speedway in this country. There is no win, not without some major backing and the disbandment of the association first.
  3. Wasting time engaging it. What your doing is like watering a flower.
  4. Never made it as mathematician lol
  5. Will be a great final this. There has been literally nothing between these 2 teams in the league head to heads, really hard to call given both teams are coming into some form now but I feel like BV are marginally stronger. See what happens
  6. Not the best meeting tbh, track was riding right by the fence and only Jye found a set up down by the kerb. Richie was so much better, and Dan was class all night aside from heat 1 where he completely missed the trap. I fancy us over 2 legs vs Peterborough. They’ve had us at home this season but with both Worrals finding form when it matters I think we will do it this time. It’s only been 20 years since the last one lol
  7. We aren’t much at home so this is a long way from being over. Sometimes I’d actually prefer a marginal away loss in the play offs, it keeps you focused on the home leg when you’ve got something to chase. Conplacency will be BVs biggest threat tomorrow, alongside a very fair and neutral track.
  8. Yes seen that. Also blanked him in the pits after as well
  9. Don’t think enough has been said about that heat 13 incident. Holder was well out of order and from my angle it was deliberately done. He knew it straight away and went over to apologise to Dan. Naughty move
  10. Well the weather definitely effected the track but I’m not arsed cause that was the best meeting I’ve seen at Sheffield, and I’ve been on countless occasions. More passing then I can ever recall. Belle Vue were gating and Sheffield were not, although saying that I thought the aces had more hunger and more desire overall. Its also far from done, the NSS is a very neutral track and who knows what will happen on the night. Good to see the twins turn up when it really mattered, and also Charles having a sleeper of a night going under the raider with that performance.
  11. 7 rides incoming for Dan tonight
  12. It’s due to pass over by 4ish but the rain we have just had in Wilmslow was extreme, and it’s heading right to Sheffield. Definitely no need to water.

    Sheffield vs Belle Vue 2/9/21

First visit to Sheffield for a while. FTG racing. Quick races but no chance of passing if you missed the start. Nothing else to add really
  14. Not the worst meeting for Monmore. It’s a difficult track and isn’t suited to today’s rider. That said I’ve seen worse over the last few years here. BV have an issue in the middle of this team. Both Worralls have been poor, and today was the worst I’ve seen from Steve for a long, long time. He was nowhere near quick enough at the NSS and for whatever reason that carried onto the return fixture on a completely different track which has previously suited him. There are no reasons sometimes, whenever he puts a BV race jacket on he suddenly becomes an amateur rider. Odd. Bewley was excellent across the day and only had one blip off gate 3 which clearly wasn’t working. He looked down on power in heat 13, I don’t know if anyone noticed that but it was weird. I almost felt like fatigue was kicking in, he was struggling to hang onto the bike. Maybe just me. Wolves look very good, but can certainly be beaten. They will pick us in the semi, which will probably be the end of us. If they were to pick someone else I’d actually fancy us to make the final.
  15. Track for me. Don’t think either are suited to it. Would personally let them both move on next season.
  16. Decent speedway meeting. BV with only 4 riders were always going to struggle. I can see it being closer tonight tbf. Bewley will be one of the top 5 riders in the world when he starts to gate consistently. Great track craft and now has some top class equipment. Riding in Poland alongside Tai has brought him forward a million steps. A shame we likely won’t see him in this country next season. Wolves we’re solid through and tho I felt BV had more top end firepower, it didn’t show with Kurtz who had some bad luck if we are being honest. Felt the score would have been closer otherwise. Wright was much improved and seems to be coming into some form before these play offs. BVs issue is clear, the brothers are nowhere near at it and until they sort it out we have no chance. Wolves at a canter for the league IMO
  17. On invite only I think there was a decent chance both would have ridden. I certainly think Lambert would have. But when you’re invited previously and turn it down, then eventually the invites stop, although I fully support both of them for stepping away from the British Final. A decent meeting overall. Surprised by Ellis, but well deserved. Bewley had forgotten how to gate, which is odd given he’s been a lot sharper lately from the tapes. Wright was miles quicker, and clearly had less pressure without an ace on his chest. Dissapointed in Cook, King and Lawson who were all well off it.
  18. Small technical tracks really are starting to look absolutely terrible in modern day speedway. A shocking advert for the sport tbh.
  19. Don’t follow the question sorry. I just feel like the Poles and the Danes are ahead of us at U21 level
  20. He is but still nowhere what would be competetive He’s gotta start somewhere tho, and hopefully the guidance from Woffinden will help him. I really wish we would just give the full running of team GB to Tai, we’d be winning gold medals within the next 3 years
  21. Nice problem to have in that we can’t really choose between Dan and Robert, but a problem in that we don’t have an u21 rider who could at least be competitive. I think you have to go with form at the time, so whoever between Dan and Robert when the choice needs to be made. Right now I’m just really pleased that Dan is fullfilling what has always been an obvious potential.
  22. The impact Tai has had on both Robert and Dan is now clear to see. We have a genuine shot of the SON with those 3.
  23. Not the most difficult meeting for him tonight but Bewley really is looking like a different rider this season. Sharp, gating well, aggressive and really starting to look like he will go all the way.

    Corona virus

See no reason why speedway can’t be included in the trial stage.
