  1. When does Nick Morris become eligible to resume
  2. I didn't know that Brian Clough and Michael Portillo used to be a speedway riders
  3. To increase the interest and entertainment, there should be arm-wrestling contests between riders based on their riding numbers, with Scott Nicholls refereeing. If a team is using r/r for a team place, the team manager should be the substitute. 7 contests would produce a winning team, with a separate league table running through the season. They could run a darts league as well.
  4. Suggestion to Birmingham: Clear off out from Perry Bar now and stage the rest of your home matches at Leicester. Would be even better if Rew could complete a whole match without falling off his bike.
  5. In an accident of no importance which has recently occurred, several insignificant internet forum contributors suffered minor bruises and inflammation of their egos due to having particularly thin skin. On the other hand, Tai Woffinden is made from tough stuff.
  6. The news about Cook comes as no surprise does it? He ceased to be a viable team member at the Premiership level at least two seasons ago. It highlights the enormous loss that Dan Thompson is to the club and team. I don't know how he has been allowed to desert Leicester but whoever is responsible should be sacked
  7. Hard to say, not knowing the chap or having anything much to gauge by, so far. Without hope there is no point in trying.
  8. I suppose it's a matter of how well a team is doing over the second "half" of the season, that counts. Had the impression Oxford threw in the towel last year especially after Leicester got into gear. Perhaps this year, they're more oriented towards having scope for beefing up the team later-on. I can see some big away defeats, early doors.
  9. I don't think Antti Vuolas has potential to improve on his 4.13 average and can see him or Jeppesen being replaced by Nick Morris when he regains his license. Rew on the other hand may thrive and improve well, and Edwards ought to lord it over his counterparts, at least. Musielak and Zagar to perform to their averages, so MJJ is for me the unpredictable ingredient. The alleged statement by Grudziadz needs to be dealt with definitively by Birmingham asap. I recall about 10 years ago when Leicester began the season with both Lung and Mikkelsen but it later transpired both were only on pre-Sweden contracts
  10. Well the honours system is completely outdated, no longer appropriate and a relic of long-gone days when Britain had an Empire. Hopefully this has provided a bit of harmless amusement, whilst we wait for Birmingham and Oxford to finalise their teams. Maybe like Geoffrey Boycott until the foolish Theresa May (confirming what a joke the system is) actually awarded him one, Chris Harris could just become popularly called "Sir Bomber"
  11. Surely it would be appropriate for Chris Harris to feel the touch of steel upon his shoulders? The man exudes all that is great about the best Britains and Cornishmen, qualities sadly lacking in today's spoiled snowflakes
  12. What about having a competition running through the season, called Riding-Order Bingo? Supporters, and not just KL fans, are given the chance to submit their prediction of the Stars 1-5 riding order ahead of each match for a £1 stake, with the winners sharing 75% of the total staked, and the other 25% going to the club?
  13. Congratulations to Leicester on the new stadium sponsorship deal 👍
  14. Oxford and Birmingham playing Scrabble to complete their teams?
  15. Perhaps the other finalists should be decided, before Poole's KOC matches commence? I'm sure Mr Morris and BSPL can agree on the best team out of 4 to put directly into the final for "commercial reasons" without the need for matches to actually be staged (the clubs involved could still stage the matches just for fun). Add-on getting the other QF tie over and done prior to Poole v Sheffield one, and this would give them riders from 5 clubs to recruit guests from.
  16. I hear that the F1 World Champion, Max Verstappen, is to do Community Service in Rwanda for swearing during an interview. Where would it be appropriate for former speedway World Champion, Tai Woffinden, to do Community Service in view of his past tendency to use foul language, and what should he be obliged to do?
  17. Was he awarded Danish sportsperson of the year or something similar, only a few years ago? From what I can vaguely recall, shoulder injuries seemed to take their toll on him, as they tend to do with a great many riders. Maybe that has accounted for relatively low amount of league riding in recent years and maybe he's now physically fixed to try to step things back up again. If so, the risk could be worthwhile for Oxford especially if he is being realistic with money. Or am I thinking of someone else but can't recall the name?
  18. Should have said goodbye to Flint and spent the points on better reserves. Dan Thompson will fulfil what Flint can do, so why have four heat leaders, it's not necessary and suppresses the 4th one. Brainless
  19. But wealthy people are often wealthy because they don't throw their money around. Unless they've reached a stage of life when it doesn't matter any more.
  20. Should be re-marketed as "Air Birmingham - the Mile-High Club". Could attract a new support base especially if the club hires a load a portaloos.😲
  21. You've already got a clear number one. Name is Janowski. Just needs to perform like one on a regular basis. Leave a bit of scope for making strengthening change/s if he isn't hacking it by end of May
