If we had had Charles Wright last night, or frankly anybody who would of scored 4 points or so we would of blown Poole out of the water, along with Jake's misfortunes. I hear a few people stayed away last night because of the events of this past week which I'm surprised at. I'm first and foremost a Somerset supporter and all I want is to be entertained on a Wednesday night with good racing and see my team win. Against a better side who weren't carried by their star reserve, we probably would of lost last night and got entertained alot less in the process without Charles.

    Sad situation all round.

Excellent Post Najjer I Totally agree

The Jake Allen crash was more to do with him carrying too much speed into the 3rd and 4th bend , than the state of the track . Everyone round where I was stood knew he was going down . And Debbie was around , she ran me and Willie back to West Huntspill

I would tend to agree with you Paulco.

Nice to touch base with you have a safe journey home.

Think that sums it up pretty well. Newman had Allen off in how the first heat before a good race between the two of them in heat 6. Newman seemed to take exception to getting beat and tried to have Allen off again after the race before Allen avoided that and dumped Newman on his ass instead. Karma you could say.

yeh Newman tried it on Jake only for Jake to shown him how to do it properly

That was the way I saw it, but Willowman stood next to me thought BWD binned it. People on the backstraight were up in arms when BWD was excluded so I assumed there was plenty of contact also! If there was contact, another error to go on the ref's list for the evening!

i was on the back straight Najjer and Bradley was brought down i'm sure the ref didn't realise he was down as it took him until turn 1 & 2 before he stopped the race

I saw somewhere, I forget where a quote from Ford that if Somerset wish to sign C Holder, they will have to do so as an asset as the no TV money means revenue is down 20% for the Pirates.  If it is 20% for Poole, I dread to think what it is for other clubs. I guess it depends how the TV money was shared, if a club hosts more televised fixtures do they get a greater percentage of the cut?

    its in the Daily Echo

Given Holder is part of Ford's plans, the Poole boss would be able to demand a transfer fee for any departure and it remains to be seen if Somerset – or any club – would be willing to pay what would be a substantial figure.cho

  6. according to twitter holder in talks with poole

HOLDER TALKS STALL | @poolespeedway owner Matt Ford says money talks aren't delaying @Chris_Holder23's Pirates return, but he confirmed there “are other things not letting it happen at this moment.” http://bit.ly/2kzsZvE

so change of plan for OTA lineup

    1 Hans Anderson 7.75
    2 Jack Holder  5.82
    3 Charles Wright  6.69
    4 Richard Lawson   6.43
    5 Jake Allen   5.07
    6 Bradley Wilson-Dean  4.67
    7 Michael Palm Toft 5.57
      42

Or Lewis Kerr instead of MPT
