Glasgow V Newcastle Championship 8th April 2017
Pogo1 replied to dantodan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Pretty much what I expected with the top two of Newcastle offering the only resistance to Glasgow, The Tigers threw away some silly points tonight with Perry having engine troubles all night, Special mention to S Worrall who was superb and Nike Lunna had a great meeting too with a superb pass on Lindgren in heat 14. -
Scunthorpe Scorpions Vs Glasgow Tigers ( S G B Championship) - Sunday, April 9th (5.30pm)
Pogo1 replied to lucifer sam's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Depends on Ryan Douglas recovering from food poisoning, though in 2011 Screen and Grieves both missed Scunthorpe away with a non speedway injury and weren't allowed to race for 7 days. I do hope Douglas is feeling better but he shouldn't be allowed to race today. -
I'm sur Barker will get his bikes fixed soon, what's that, three seasons now lol

I'm sure there will be tougher tests ahead but great start to the season for the Witches. -
Glasgow Tigers V Scunthorpe Scorpions . Championship League Sat 1st April 2017 At 7 P.m.
Pogo1 replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well the 1 to 7s have been named and for Glasgow it's 1 Summers 2 Bewley 3 Worrall 4 Lunna 5 Lawson 6 Perry 7 Smith Scunny 1 Douglas 2 Wilkinson 3 Kerr 4 Palm Toft 5 Auty 6 Wallner 7 Bailey Think this could be closer than what most people think, I believe Smith and Perry might take time to get used to there new surroundings and the Austrian at reserve for Scunthorpe could like the shape of Ashfield. Glasgow will be relying on the big 3 come heats 13/15 and with Scunthorpe not having an out and out number 1 this is where I believe they will win it. I'll go for 51 39 to the home side. -
Certainly look like the team to beat that's for sure, not sure about King being the best number 1 in the league though. Cook still top dog for me.

Karma's a bitch eh !!!

Ipswich Vs Sheffield Sgbc 25/03/17 7.30pm
Pogo1 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Big opening meeting for the Witches to start with, Sheffield will definitely be in the mix come the play offs, Opening night banana skin I reckon. Ipswich 43. Sheffield 47 -
In fairness there was a charge for the meet the riders night last season, what they have done is start it later at 4.30pm until 6.30pm on track with the meet the riders in the Den at 7pm until 9pm, saves people going home and back out again at night, and the admission this year covers both events, remember the 7 riders still have to be paid travel for P&P so there is an outlay.

If you support Ashfield you will probably have left 20 mins before the end lol

Where? When? Is This Years Ben Fund Meeting (2017) Being Held?
Pogo1 replied to Shale Searcher's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Outwith Glasgow speedway unfortunately, it was Paul Ackroyd the Ben Fund organiser who selected the date, I believe Alan Dick who is heavily involved at the SFA did indicate that it was possible the old film game would be moved from the Saturday to the Sunday and would clash with the benefit meeting. -
How can we even have a 2 pointer, he told us all through the winter that Jack Smith would be a 3 lol
-
Let's wait on the announcement from the new owners and I'm sure you will see the hold up wasn't anything to do with the BSPA, I think you will find the MC have been working with the new owners in what will be very exciting times for Belle Vue speedway.
-
No they don't, The new Belle Vue owners are waiting from clearance from the Manchester City council to make an announcement with regards to there takeover of the club.
-
Why would the hold up of an announcement from Belle Vue be the fault of the BSPA? Every other club has to organise there own affairs and get things ready . Seem to me that it's so easy to point the finger at the association every time a club is in trouble.
