And play close attention to all relevant aspects within the local plan as well as the submissions by major players on the PCC planning portal. It's funny that AEPG say that they and the EEAS have no future obligation to support Peterborough Speedway financially, however, they are keen to say LP36 & 30 doesn't specifically mention speedway. As the only permanent/annual regular sporting and leisure user for 49 years when the local plan was adopted, what else does LP30 allude to? Also by wrecking the speedway infrastructure & stand they are trying to engineer a position where LP30 doesn't apply, as noted by PCC Policy :

LP30 – Culture Leisure, Tourism and Community Facilities Policy LP36 specifically makes reference to the requirements of Policy LP30 and the loss of existing cultural, leisure, tourism and community facilities: The applicant will need to demonstrate that the proposals meet the requirements of points k-m, in particular with regard to the speedway track. The applications do propose to make a good, appropriate, level of sport and leisure uses. Normally, the application would not be considered to meet points k-m as they stand, as they do not provide a replacement facility for speedway use, and the speedway track was clearly fit for purpose. This has been made more complex by the Speedway club having been served notice and asked to vacate the site and remove their safety and lighting infrastructure, therefore no longer meeting point k and in no longer being fit for purpose requiring the meeting of point l and m. It is noted that Sport England have provided comments in response to the application.

At best this is going to be very long winded.

I agree they should follow the local plan and provide a new venue but I have zero faith in our council or local government to actually hold these people to task.

It all feels at least a year too late and this is where Chapman needed to do more to drum up support and a challenge of Indeed he wanted to save Peterborough speedway.

The planning process only helps up to a point. AEPG can keep Panthers out of Showground even if their applications fail. Same could happen at Coventry. Speedway needs land owner to want speedway. Eastbourne stadium still there but owners have said no to  speedway and just let Stox in.. As is their right.

Correct however IP30 and IP36 state if so they'll need to find an alternative venue.

I know which one is cheaper

I wouldn't mind betting that To a certain extent Buster wishes he'd just let you bunch of ungrateful b@stards  go under when Ged Rathbone had had enough, rather than keep the place going. If Tomalin had put his money where his mouth is last winter you could all be blaming him now., you could have " enjoyed" Chris Holder for the season aa well .Can't blame Buster for not showing up at the rally,  I wouldn't have either if I'd been slagged off that much.

Ged has said numerous times the club would've continued and Chapman only purchased it to keep the Elie league alive

Even Ipswich are photo shopping a picture of a Panthers rider joining them for 2024.

You know something's severely wrong when our rivals and their manager (Hawkins) show their support and respect for us while Buster and his AEPG funded KL Stars don't give a t055.

A touch of class about Ipswich unlike king's Lynn

I'm amazed nobody has figured it out yet with regards to the current owner.

Chapman is behaving as a shrewd business owner in my opinion. He will not hand over ownership until after planning has been approved/unapproved.

Fans are saying that the club has no value, well it clearly does. If the stadium gets a protection order from the council it again becomes a going concern, Chapman can increase it's selling value & he's had to do no work for it either.

Great bit of business if you ask me

But shows no desire to fight to keep it open the people of Peterborough clearly want him to move on to.

If you think what is going on or isn't is acceptable for an owner of a sports club in the heart of the city then I'm sorry you're the problem.

It may feel good as. King's Lynn fan on the outside here thinking he's got one over on Panthers etc but this doesn't look well on you guys either and Lynn fans are innocent in this.

You can see why people are throwing accusations around currently as he's saying absolutely nothing and leaving it to others to fight his fight without handing the club over.

All it would take is a big rallying call on the club social media pages and website along with the local press and people would back it as it stands I'm afraid he looks complicit by doing nothing.

Can't see him selling tbh, I'm 99% sure he's done a deal with AEPG, Something's just not right because things aren't adding up.

Sad thing about is some Panthers fans will dance to his tune by attending KL meetings next season because they've put out a predictable 2023 Panthers select side.

I hope the majority will see the light though and go to meetings at Ipswich and Leicester instead......Support the new ownership at Leicester or support Chris Louis and Ritchie Hawkins at Ipswich where the latter has already made the effort in supporting us.

People can do what they please but it's Peterborough or nothing for me

Not really unless you have the evidence to back up the vitriol.

He's getting away with this very Scot free currently and it doesn't overly sit well.

All I see as a fan is our club closed down, track dug up without a fight from the owners of the club.

The fight is being conducted by fans and a consortium who want to take the club on, fine but what's happening with taking the club on? Is the current owner playing ball or just taking last seasons Panthers to King's Lynn?

Even the last meeting was poor and left everyone wanting more
