  1. So you are pretty much saying that the current state of British speedway is mainly Matt Ford's fault ? Utterly utterly staggering, the absolute drivel that all you poole haters spout on this site is mind blowing! What a sorry, sad bunch you all are. If there were a few more Matt Ford's about British speedway would not be in it's current state, FACT ! As some posters say on here, the product is getting watered down every year, something Matt Ford has been opposed to for many seasons, and if he is still around next season, trust me, Poole will again be the team to beat because he wants to provide his customers with a winning team, it's called SPORT!!! Maybe Poole did get a little lucky this year, but guess what, the harder you try the luckier you get !!!!
  2. Agreed, I just hope it's not too late for British speedway to pull itself out of the mire, and the only chance they've got is for everbody, and I mean everybody, pulling in the same direction! Too many high profile tracks have closed during the last 20 years, Wimbledon, Oxford, Reading, Hackney, Cradley and Coventry to name just a few. In any sport, at any level, one team has to come top, and one team has to come bottom unfortunately. That Poole have been so successful in recent times is no coincidence, it is because Matt Ford has worked harder at it than most of the others. If the product is right, the tracks are prepared right, we all know that live speedway can be the greatest spectacle of all sports to watch, let's hope and pray that there is a way back from this current mess
  3. Granted, only Mr Ackroyd can explain how he came to that decision, and we will probably never get to hear that. I can only think, sadly, that he was influenced by Middlo's comments about his performance at an earlier meeting this season, as Alex Ferguson always did !
  4. OMG - As a new poster on here I am utterly staggered at the anti-poole jealousy and envy that gets posted on here. Utterly embarrassing ! Yes, I am a Poole fan, but first and foremost i am a speedway fan. Yes, the referee made one big blunder last night, football referees make huge rickets every single week, get over it. Matt Ford has always used the rules to his advantage, but he does not make the rules, and he has never broken the rules ! If the green light has been given for Poole to use Morris at Lynn tomorrow, at Lynn's request, then he is doing nothing wrong. Of course it is not ideal, but give the man a break, he is the most pro-active promoter in the UK who tries to provide the most attractive product he can, despite the majority of other promoters consistently year on year happy to water down our incredible sport to it's current poor state. Trust me, if every club had a Matt Ford at the helm the British speedway would be in a much healthier state !
