Beware of the M4 around J30 to J33 there are road works to make the two lanes three (About time). You could be stuck here for a hour or two depends on the time and traffic. The centre of Cardiff is like a bomb site with over 2000 car parking spaces missing. This is due to the face lift of the city. Park and rides are good. Being the weekend it is Cardiff will have lots of shoppers there too so leave yourself time and enjoy the city and shops before hand. If you need more help email me and I will try to help.

I can not agree with who gets out of the gate first wins. Yes some races it happens, when you get some of the not so well set up racers. With the likes of racers such as Crump, Adams, and Scotty at his best racing. They can come from the back to win. One of the best riders at doing this is Hancock, who is the greatest rider of my time in speedway. I have been told that Mr Tucker did a lot of research for his story as he does with all he writes. He has never been to the speedway or seen it on Sky. So how does he know what people look like who go.

I have send a copy of the story to BSI Paul Bellamy. Lets see what they say about him.

Thank you all for the replies to the posting. Sorry to upset you all but I think you all should have read what people are saying about us. I have posted a letter to Mr Tucker asking to go to a speedway meeting and print a letter saying sorry to us all. I have two favours to ask you all. The first being please write a letter to the paper regarding this story if you feel it is wrong. The second is to past the story on to all the promotors of the sport. I think they all should know why they can not bring in new fans if this is what people are writing about us and the sport.

HI ALL, May I start by saying how good the weekend has been. The Racing was good the weather was great, and Cardiff and Newport making you all feel welcome. Now for my main point of the posting. It may upset some as it did me when I read it. I have just read a story in the local paper to me and for all the people in South Wales, The Western Mail. It is a story from a man called Steve Tucker. He goes on and puts a bad light on the sport as a hole and all the people who follow it. I have this story to hand if you would like to read more just email me. Its sad they let people who have no liking for the sport put it in such a bad light and turn a good weekend in to a upsetting one.

I'm sorry as well I may have upset alot of you as I have it from one of the managers of the stadium that all bag must be checked. This is due to bombs or things that can hurt others. I have the quote from one of them as "Good luck if you can get a bottle on to the track from the stands." He feels that drinking bottles are aloud, just not beer as they sell that and make alot of money on it.

Yes this is the group of swedish fans. The stadium are now looking in to the matter. Its a shame that I know the big cheeses in the stadium, who are not taking this matter or all the rest as a joke.

I work in Cardiff and see all the events in the stadium, due to my work place being next door. This is by far the best event and this comes from a huge football fan. I book my holiday from work as soon as the dates are out. My father gets the tickets and its set a year to lok forward to it all. He will travel from Essex on the friday day, and get to my house in time to go to Newport that evening. The wekend has started. GP on the Sat, which may I ad gets better each year. Then Newport for the welsh open on sun. The whole city is a different place when GP is in town. The pubs are better, the town its self is better. Some great place to make a day of it. Some of my best are; Edwards on St Marys street The newly opened Havana bar Millenium Plaza by gate six. Old Orleans just off St Marys street. The bay is nice and with the weather to go you can have a great time, but enjoy the main town. There is no place better on GP day. All the traveling fans please take care and see you all there.

Hi all, I hope you will all be here for another fun packed weekend. The weather on the local news has said a good weekend's weather. Speedway all weekend who could ask for a better life. Take care on the way down and use the park and ride system as the car park prices in Cardiff we set you back a second mortgage. The park and ride at leckworth is very good. Just follow the signs for Cardiff City football ground. I hope you all have a good journey down here and enjoy the weekend. The Havana Bar in the Millenium Plaza is very nice for food and there is a coffee shop there to. Its right by gate 6 and 7. Well off now so see you all here.
