    Belle Vue 2022

I don’t know what the fuss is about. BV have said Jake Allen was only signed on a temporary contract - strange I know but surely it was best to start the season with 7 riders rather than 6. It’s good to see Zagar back riding in the UK
  2. Great work from Kelvin and Chris - it felt odd without Nigel though Overall, it looks like Discovery have spent a lot to make it a better experience for everyone. I didn’t like Graciela as the host and the music was very loud and off putting throughout. Why use Scott Nicholls when they could use Brando - who is a professional presenter?
  3. With regards to Musielak - on his last visit for Swindon in 2019, he scored 9+2.

Casting two fishing rods at the same time! My, you must be bored

Sorry I completely disagree with you - what advantage has been gained?

Don’t understand that one at all. If his average fits, he is willing to commit and available - what is the problem? There is no rule in the rule book to prevent this - except the same old problem from promoters - self interest and not seeing the bigger picture!!

You will find out on Monday

    Belle Vue 2022

Can’t see Tungate doing UK - seems well settled in Poland.

    Kings Lynn 2022

    Not really damning

    Wolverhampton 2022

I think they are both running out of unmarked skin to cover

    Ipswich 2022

He wouldn’t want it any higher as that is likely to put him out of consideration in future years. Swindon took a hit a few years ago when they applied a multiplier and he had a ridiculous 11+ average!! What any good rider will do is ensure he has a good haul of bonus points where they can as this will keep their averages at a level that will keep them employable.
  12. For the record - The England Speedway Team won nothing but Team GB did Happy New Year
  13. The big question mark about this team is can they maintain or improve their averages. If they can, they could be contenders. However, with Ulrich on an inflated average - they definitely don’t look as good a team (on paper) as the one Sheffield announced.

    Sheffield Tigers 2022

    Great looking team

What? Adam inconsistent? Really? Yet you would keep Stefan Nielsen who has had a significant amount of time out injured just about every season since he started?!?!?

    Wolverhampton 2020

It is well and truly broken - but they do nothing to re-invigorate it. Simply weaken the teams, increase the price and they will still come. Errrr - nope

    Belle Vue 2022

Can’t see Glasgow without Edinburgh - derbies between the two clubs are needed for both teams.
  18. I think Ostergaard will find it difficult to find a team place next season because of his inflated average. He may have found a new level of fitness/ scoring potential this year as he started the year in exceptional form but it’s a risk for any team that he will return to his lower scoring abilities. Hope someone takes the plunge and signs him though.
  19. But then no one would have seen them

    Kings Lynn 2022

This isn’t the first time that a promoter (or promoters) have owned more than one club. While not ideal with so few teams in the league - it is what it is and branding is a very strong marketing tool. Why shouldn’t they be involved in the celebrations - they have earned it as much as the team.
  21. Congratulations to Peterborough- best team over both legs of the final. Commiserations to Belle Vue - maybe next year?
  22. The medics will know if Hansi was knocked out or received ”just” a bang to the head - so everyone speculating should just wait to hear if he will be riding or not. They have done last minute rule changes in the past (usually involving Poole!) and it just taints the result IMHO - better to win or lose fairly within the rules. So the only way Lewis Kerr will ride for Peterborough is if MPT doesn’t! it’s all to play for and a difficult one to call (if you look at the league scores). I would like to see Dad’s Army win it just because most people wrote them off at the start of the season. If BV win, I won’t be disappointed though! Good luck to both teams and if the meeting is as good as at the NSS, I will be well happy.
  23. Congratulations to the Aces. Should be an interesting final
  24. Well deserved win for Peterborough
  25. A lovely tribute to Colin Pratt - brought a tear to my eyes. RIP
