    Hi... Jack and arthur are both still looking fit andwell. Can always be found in the pits where ever grandson ben taylor rides. True gentlemen and you can sit all night listening to their escapades.

    If Bob could read this topic he would be rolling about laughing. He knew some people thought him a "puff"as they were called in those days, and found it funny to say things to make them believe it. Obviously did a good job. Was in the pits that night at Cradley.....Ivor fell going into the 1st bend, Bob layed his bike down but his footrest hit Ivor in the back of the head. Tragic but pure accident.....It did affect Bob, whilst he did carry on riding... personally think he lost a lot that night. There were also more personal problems in later years. Gay........NEVER.

    Sid stayed at Ray Gedling's in Askam, who's son Lee was barrow mascot. Mick is in blackpool.

    Hi Kev...... Barrow finished at Holker St. end of 1974. The track was round football pitch......370yds (338metres). Tom Owen set the record 67.6 secs on 21/5/74. Might be wrong, but don't think it was beaten......

    Paul rode for Nelson Admirals in 68, 69 and poss 70.

    You are right about the engine & frame but we used 21 teeth engine sprocket. The biggest available rear sprocket in those days was 60 teeth. Wonder where meeksie is nowadays ????
