    Poole 2018

Moorwell Road is Rob Godfrey's garage address. The track is at Normanby Road.

    Poole v Wolves Premiership A. 23/5/18

Definitely broken leg. It is completely unnecessary to me SGB have actually uploaded a video of the crash, and quite frankly appalling that they give out wrong information.

    Scorpions vs Lakeside 25.5.18

Garrity is apparently waiting for an operation, so would imagine he's very doubtful for Friday. Hopefully Scunthorpe will move Auty to 5 and split up the Auty/Allen partnership.
  4. Good to hear nothing is broken for Gino - apart from the kevlars!

    Rye House 2018

Whilst not mentioned so far, the one thing that has struck me, is how Rye don't swap the reserves around. I don't know whether it would make any difference, of course, but generally giving the stronger reserve the slightly easier ride in heat 8 is par for the course when you have a reserve who is finding it tough.

    Rye House 2018

The reason Rye lost is not because of heat 11. I can understand the frustrations, but since Summers beat Grajczonek earlier on in the meeting, there was no reason to think it couldn't happen again.

    Rye House 2018

Summers was riding well, and didn't deserve to get taken out of his ride. He could have easily beaten Grajczonek, especially since 1 and 3 were working well. As it happens a 4-2 was the worst result as they couldn't use Nicholls in 12 either, which was being lined up I believe. I was half expecting Harris to slow up in 11, but didn't happen.

Concussed at the very least. Won't be riding on Saturday
  9. It was Nicholls who gave him the tough first bend. Grajczonek is a class act, and will get there, but does appear to be lacking a bit of race sharpness and being unable to control the first bends. He may need to go back to basics, get a Championship spot, get some big points in the Championship, and I'm sure the points will soon come flowing again.
  10. "It's a marathon, not a sprint". Copyright of Starman. Poole are not there yet, but I think everyone knows they will get going eventually. They just have to hope it's not too late when they do get going!
  11. BT Sport at Scunthorpe tonight filming for a Speedway Documentary.

    GB(england?) win in Neustadt

Auty was in heat 18, Ellis in heat 20.
  13. Didn't think any other decision could be made. Garrity could hardly continue on the bike once Andersen had ripped out every single spoke on his front wheel. Very similar to the Bjarne Pedersen and Nicholls crash at Coventry several years ago. Thankfully both Nicholls and Garrity were able to talk away from the crashes.

    Rye House 2018

Engines routinely go wrong, which are never planned! Many riders will have 4 or 5 engines (many will have more if they are very busy), and will have a preferred engine for a specific track. If one engine is unavailable (engine tuner may be taking longer than expected, for example), the rider has to go with the next best option, which sometimes actually works well, but other times it fails miserably!

Is there any rain due in Leicester? May be worth a punt on Andersen over Batchelor...

Jørgensen caught my eye too - as did Iversen over 10.

I actually thought to myself an hour ago "I can see 3 away wins tonight" but refrained from having a flutter on the away wins. Glad I refrained looking at the 3 Heat 1's! Although Kasprzak having a stinker was too good to pass up on.

Ellis over Pieman, Morris over 10 and had a small bet on Vaculik under 8 too.
  19. Wayland Prison (Griston) I believe. Last time I was in the area, there were helicopters and police all over the village as some inmates had apparently escaped and were hiding in the village somewhere. May still be some vacancies there...

    Poole 2018

Would be fine after a few track grades
  23. As one of the Sinful Seven, I'll explain my reasoning - however flawed it may be! I don't actually think the side is bad, per se, but I don't see any sides in the league that are being run on the cheap. It is probably as competitive of a league as I can remember. In previous years, there were always one or two teams that could be described as "easy pickings", but none this year. I can think of many teams who could challenge Wolves at Monmore (or WV2 for TNT), but Belle Vue wouldn't be my first choice at all. 2 spring to mind from the off: Leicester and Rye House. Rye House have a side full of WV2 track specialists + Kasprzak. I would expect them to do very well there. Leicester, too, have a number of riders who can ride the track very well. Or riders who I expect could do. The only exception would be KP who remains an unknown at this stage, but riders do sometimes pick up an injury in Poland on a Sunday which takes a few days to shake off. If they were able to use R/R and give extra rides to Kyle "I can p**s past Tai Woffinden round here" Newman, I would look at them as a side who could do very well. Obviously, it's all ifs and buts at this stage of the year, but I think any team with a strong top order could pose some problems for Wolves.
